    Abstract: A network management apparatus of a wireless network includes a network interface, a processor, and a memory. The memory contains instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the apparatus to receive, via the network interface, first data comprising values of key performance indicators (KPIs) obtained from elements of the wireless network for a first time period, receive, via the network interface, second data comprising values of key quality indicators (KQIs) for the first time period, wherein the KQIs comprise metrics of end-user quality of service (QoS) of the wireless network, and perform supervised learning to train an artificial intelligence (AI) model based on the first and second data, wherein features of the AI model are based on KPIs available from elements of the wireless network, and outputs of the AI model comprise values of one or more KQIs.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for transmitting control information in a header of a physical protocol data unit (PPDU), such as an IEEE 802.11 compliant PPDU. Embodiments include indicating control features in an EDMG PPDU for Wireless LAN communications. The method and system may include overloading at least one bit of a Scrambler Initialization Field in the PPDU header (e.g. the PHY header) to convey control information, as well as to be used to initialise the scrambler shift register. The same header bits are thus used for both purposes. Examples of control information include a primary channel, channel width or MIMO configuration to be used in further communication.

    Abstract: A method for performing line-of-sight (LoS)/non-line-of-sight (NLoS) filtering includes collecting, from at least one user equipment (UE) operating within a coverage area of a base station, a plurality of measurement reports from the at least one UE, wherein each measurement report of the plurality of measurement reports comprises a measured value of a signal parameter and location information of the at least one UE. The method further includes training a LoS/NLoS classification model on the plurality of measurement reports, obtaining a new measurement report from a UE operating at a first location within the coverage area of the base station and passing the new measurement report from the UE to the trained LoS/NLoS classification model to obtain a LoS/NLoS classification of the first location.

The preamble portion further includes a second U-SIG, which contains identical information regarding the payload portion of the PPDU. The repetition of the U-SIG may improve robustness of the preamble portion detection and also enable auto-detection of the PPDU for LPI communication.

    Abstract: A core network entity (CNE) can predict received signal strength values for base station (BS). In response to a triggering event, the CNE fetches information on BS configuration parameters, including at least one of: a BS class, a BS location, a BS height, an orientation of the BS, a BS antenna pattern, and topographical details surrounding the BS. The BS obtains, processes and forwards to the CNE, measurement reports created by a user equipment (UE) including a signal strength value and a location of the UE. The CNE pools the measurement reports based on the BS class and, in response to another triggering event, recalibrates signal strength prediction tools, which can predict received signal strength values from the BS to a location in a vicinity of the BSs. The CNE also pools and stores the measurement reports and corresponding BS configuration parameters, after post processing and compression.
