  • Patent number: 5618486
Abstract: There is provided a process for manufacturing a heat-resistant molded foam product which comprises:(a) preheating a foamed polyester resin sheet of low crystallinity;(b) molding the sheet into a molded product,(i) heating only that portion of the preheated sheet which is convertible into a final product; such heating being conducted for a period of time such that the heated portion of the sheet reaches an average crystallinity of greater than about 20%, and(ii) cooling the unheated portion of said preheated sheet; and(c) cooling the resulting molded product, whereby distortion of the molded product is restrained when heated, and the molding time is shortened.

  • Patent number: 5545771
Abstract: A process for preparation of a gem-difluoroalkane is provided which comprises(A) a step to add a fluorinated alkane having a boiling point of -30.degree. to 30.degree. to a crude alkyne having 3 or 4 carbon atoms containing a polymerizable olefin as an impurity, and distill the mixture to remove the polymerizable olefin,(B) a step to react hydrogen fluoride with the fluorinated alkane and the alkyne having 3 or 4 carbon atoms obtained in the above step to synthesize the gem-difluoroalkane, and(C) a step to distill the reaction solution of the above (B) to obtain the gem-difluoroalkane.According to this process, gem-difluoroalkanes can be prepared more economically compared with usual processes.

  • Patent number: 5243389
Abstract: A toner hopper is arranged to feed the toner stored in itself to a developing unit and have a stirring roller and a feeding roller respectively supported rotatably, an interlocking mechanism for transmitting the force of rotation to the stirring roller, a manually rotating mechanism for manually rotating the stirring roller, and an interlocking restricting mechanism. The interlocking mechanism restricts the operation of the interlocking mechanism such that the force of rotation of the stirring roller is not transmitted to the feeding roller while the manually rotating mechanism supplies force of rotation to the stirring roller.

  • Patent number: 5239805
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a method of packaging a developer cartridge especially for use in the image-forming of the electrophotographic process, the method by which the operativity of users can be improved and the pollution due to the sealing member of the developer cartridge can be prevented. The object of the present invention is achieved by fixing a free end of the above sealing member held between the sealing portions of the packing bag when the packing bag is hermetically sealed. With this, the sealing member is pulled off in accordance with the developer cartridge being drawn out from the bag when it is used. When the whole part of the developer cartridge is drawn out, the sealing member is completely pulled off, and is left inside the packing bag.

  • Patent number: 5235130
Abstract: A developer cartridge is provided to prevent toner from overflowing a toner hopper into a development tank, and to prevent a toner supply roller from being deformed by heavy pressure. In order to achieve the object, the developer cartridge is provided with a seal member (8) in the toner hopper (2). The seal member has one end blocking a toner supply port (9) and the other end secured to a rotary shaft (7a) of an agitating member (7). The seal member is rolled up by rotating the agitating member when using the cartridge for the first time.

  • Patent number: 5028906
Abstract: This invention concerns a humidity sensor wherein a chemical conversion coating, giving attention to the property that it undergoes an impedance decrease with adsorption of moisture, is used as humidity sensing element which is characterizied by an extremely short electrode distance, greatly improved sensitivity, high speed response, stable performance over a long period of time, high reliability and cheaper production cost. The principal point that characterizes the humidity sensor in this invention is that the chemical conversion coating deposited on the metal surface with or without an electrolysis application, is made usable as a humidity sensing element. For the chemical conversion coating, such coatings as phosphate, oxalate, titanium fluoro-complex, chromium phosphate and non-chromium types are used.On top of this chemical conversion coating, application of a humidity sensing film is effected to further improve humidity sensing performance.
