  • Patent number: 5544059
Abstract: The feature distinguishing part distinguishes feature modes from the traffic volume data detected by the traffic volume detecting part or from the traffic volume data estimated from the detected traffic volume data by the traffic volume estimating part, and the control parameter setting part sets the optimum control parameter according to the distinction results, further the drive controlling part controls the drive of cars on the control parameters. The distinction function constructing part constructs and modifies the distinction function of feature modes by learning prepared plural feature modes or the distinction results of past feature modes, furthermore the control result detecting part detects the control results or the drive results of cars, and corrects the control parameters. The control results or the drive results are exhibited on the user interface, and the control parameters are set and corrected from the outside by referring the results.

  • Patent number: 5459665
Abstract: A traffic volume estimating apparatus 1A estimates the traffic volumes of traffic apparatus, and a traffic flow presuming apparatus 1B presumes the traffic flows generating the estimated traffic volumes. A presumption function constructing apparatus 1C corrects the presumption functions of the traffic flow presuming apparatus 1B on actually measured traffic volumes, traffic flow presumption results and control results. A control result detecting apparatus 1G detects the control results and the drive results of the traffic apparatus. Further, a control parameter setting apparatus 1D sets control parameters on traffic flow presumption results, and corrects the control parameters according to the control results and the drive results.

  • Patent number: 5413475
Abstract: In a serial two-stage extruder, the first-stage extruder has a screw including a feed screw section having a length within a range of 5 to 9 the major diameter thereof, a mixing screw section having a hexagonal cross section and a pitch of 1 to 3 times the major diameter thereof, and a metering screw section having a screw groove of an appropriate depth. The second-stage extruder includes an extruding screw and a barrel. The extruding screw has a screw groove of an appropriate depth and a dulmage formed at the tip end of the screw. The dulmage has a plurality of fins cooperating with fins of the barrel. Alteratively, in the second-stage extruder, the dulmage may have a plurality of axially spaced stages of fins. Configurations of the fins in each respective stage are identical but various characteristics of the fins vary from stage to stage. In this case, the barrel does not have fins.

  • Patent number: 4215032
Abstract: The present application provides a polyester composition composed of polyethylene terephthalate or a polyester containing at least 80 mol % of ethylene terephthalate repeating units and 0.1 to 15 weight %, based on the polyester, of an organic crystallization promoting agent having a polyoxyalkylene chain and at least one epoxy group. The latter promoting agents are represented by such materials as a glycidyl ether of a polyalkylene glycol having a molecular weight less than 5000. Such crystallization promoting agents serve to prevent streaks and pock marks on the surface of articles molded from such polyester compositions.

  • Patent number: 4174557
Abstract: A method of mounting valve seats in a butterfly valve comprising a valve body mounted in a valve stem in a valve housing. The valve seats are attached to the valve housing so as to contact the periphery of the valve body when the valve is closed. End surfaces of the valve seats are adjusted relative to the valve stem and seal members by means of first bolts. Then, the first bolts are replaced with third bolts for pressing the valve seats against the periphery of the valve body.
