  • Patent number: 5758440
Abstract: A unique method and container for displaying a clear liquid windshield treatment comprises a clear bottle with a front and back label. The front label depicts a view from the inside of a car through the front windshield, which is cut-out to reveal the back label through the clear liquid product. The image of an oncoming car is printed on the inside of the back label so that the view from the front of the bottle simulates the view of an oncoming car through a windshield. When the bottle is shaken, tiny bubbles form in the liquid and migrate up interior surfaces of the bottle, thus simulating the dynamic water beading and sheeting action of the product when actually in use on a car's windshield.

  • Patent number: 5758446
Abstract: The present invention relates to the fire arm industry and more particularly to a system that impresses a bar type code into the lead bullet that has been fired from a gun. The identifying markings are placed on the gun barrel lands with as little visibility as possible but enough to form the code to identify the fired bullet as being from one specific handgun or rifle. The code markings may be placed on the barrel, without effecting its operation in any way. The microscopic identifying code markings are impressed in to the surface of the lands of the gun barrel and when the firearm is fired the force of the firing forms this particular gun's code on the bullet. These identifying code markings may be placed at the intersection of the chamber and the barrel so that when a bulletted cartridge is placed in the chamber and the gun is fired, the code marks are encoded on both the neck of the brass and the lead bullet surface, forming identical codes.

  • Patent number: 5758451
Abstract: An improved bobber having two separate floatation units, or bobbers, is shown and its use described. The smaller of the two bobbers is fit inside an aperture in the larger. The two floats are connected to one another along the fishing line. The larger of the two is weighted in order that it floats in an upright position and keeps the smaller float inside the larger until the fish strikes. When a fish strikes bait at the end of the line, the smaller float will come out of the larger one. In the event that the fish is not hooked, the smaller float will float at the top of the water thus indicating a miss. A stop means on the line above the apparts limits the distance the smaller one can travel from the larger float after the two parts are separated.

In the strips (6) a notch (13) is made which allows the detachable portion (9) to be opened at the end opposite to the one in communication with the inside of the package (1).

Abstract: A method of producing a tinned food container has a container body 1 of a flat material, especially aluminum strip or tinplate strip which is deep-drawn and which, at least in the region of its planar end flange, is provided with a coating 2, especially a sealing coating, and has a cover 4 provided with a further coating, especially a further sealing coating, and is made of a foil material, especially aluminum foil, is sealed on to the edge flange under the influence of pressure and/or heat. To make the production method more economical, and for producing a container body with an intermediate sealing layer 3 additionally inserted during the sealing-on operation, first the blank for the container body 1 and intermediate sealing layer 3 is punched in one piece out of the flat material. Then the intermediate sealing layer 3 subsequently is separated from the container body 1 in the region of the edge flange.

Abstract: An interface device for packaging equipment comprises three bins arranged vertically and separated by gates located at the bottom of each bin. An infeed unit or conveyor feeds product into the receiver bin. A product counter in a logic unit counts the product fed into the receiver bin. The logic unit cycles the counted product into the buffer and discharge bins, respectively to provide an accumulator function. The logic unit cycles the discharge gate upon output of a flight sensor on the outfeed unit to deliver the counted product on the desired location of the outfeed unit. The device allows temporary differences between product flow rates between the infeed unit and the outfeed unit. No connections to the control system of the outfeed unit is required.

  • Patent number: 5758479
Abstract: A method and device for harvesting hay are disclosed. The method includes injecting steam into hay as it is being processed by a baler. Typically, the hay will be subjected to steam as it is lifted into the baler, and then subjected to steam as it passes through a feed chamber of the baler. Preferentially, the hay will be saturated with steam less than two seconds before it is formed into a bale of hay. The device includes a conventional baler having one or more steam manifolds disposed so as to emit steam into the hay between the point it is picked up by a pick-up mechanism, and the point at which it is ultimately formed into a bale of hay. By saturating the hay with steam, dew moisturization is simulated and less loss occurs. However, the moisture content reading in the resulting bale of hay decreases much more rapidly than dew moistened hay, thus decreasing spoilage and increasing the amount which may be sold to the most lucrative markets.

  • Patent number: 5758481
Abstract: The invention is a simple and efficient system for picking up bales of hay, straw, or other agricultural material in the field and transporting these in stacks (four bales high) to a remote location. The first step in the process is attaching to the baler a cart with a turn table. The baler bales the hay, straw, or other agricultural material into a rectangular bale that is delivered lengthwise to the cart. The turn table on the cart rotates the bale ninety degrees and discharges the bale. Then a bale is picked up by a self propelled bale wagon that consists of: a cab with an engine, a flat bed, and the appropriate machinery for picking up the bale. A boom is mounted on the front of the bale wagon. The boom includes a plurality of tines designed to penetrate the bale as it rests in the field after coming off the turn table cart.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for interrupting delivery of sliver to a spinning frame for spinning sliver into yarn and winding the yarn onto a spindle utilizing a sliver stop motion. The sliver stop motion is positioned on a respective drafting system of the spinning frame. The sliver stop motion is mounted to the spinning frame so as to overlie the back drafting rolls for stopping the motion of sliver being drafted by the back drafting rolls responsive to a break in yarn being wound onto the spindle. The stop motion includes an elongate pivoting member which is pivotally mounted to a frame mounting member. The frame mounting member is pivotally mounted to the spinning frame. At the stop motion's proximal end, a yarn contact member extends outwardly therefrom so as to underlie and slidably contact yarn being directed to the respective spindle. A sliver comb is connected to and extends outwardly from the distal end of the elongate pivoting member so as to overlie sliver being drafted by the back drafting rolls.
