Abstract: A system for controlling an automatic transmission of a vehicle, in which a pressure supply time to complete removal of the clutch-stroke play is determined based on the input shaft rotational speed. And a residual oil amount in the clutch is estimated and the time is corrected by the residual oil amount. The preparatory pressure to be supplied within the time is also determined based on the input shaft rotational speed and the ATF temperature. With this, it becomes possible to effect the clutch-stroke play removal within a less variant time and with a good response, thereby decreasing the shift shock effectively so as to improve the feeling of the vehicle occupant.

Abstract: An intermediate displacement board (120) composed of a metal plate is arranged on a printed circuit board (110) having electrode patterns (E1-E7) and then a strain generative body (130) composed of silicon rubber is arranged on top thereof. Then, the arrangement is fixed to the printed circuit board (110) with attachments (140). Depressing a displacement portion (133) causes a connecting portion (132) to be deflected and an electrode (F0) to be brought into contact with the electrodes (E1, E2) to make them conductive, thereby allowing the pushbutton switch to be turned ON. Depressing further the displacement portion (133) causes an elastic deformation portion (134) to be elastically deformed and crushed and the intermediate displacement board (120) to be pushed downward. The capacitance of capacitors (C3-C7), which are constituted by the electrodes (E3-E7) and the intermediate displacement board (120), are varied according to the depression of the intermediate displacement board (120).

Abstract: A plastic container comprises a bottom wall, a side wall extending upwardly and laterally outwardly from the bottom wall, and an undulating rim extending laterally outwardly from an upper portion of the side wall. The undulating rim forms a plurality of waves extending at least partially around the upper portion of the side wall. Each wave forms a crest and a trough that are generally perpendicular to an adjacent section of the upper portion of the side wall. In response to exerting a tensile load on the rim, the undulating rim acts like an accordion or spring and effectively increases the perimeter along an outer trimmed edge of the rim. In particular, the waves allow the rim to flatten, thereby reducing the hoop stress generated by the tensile load. By relieving the hoop stress on the outer trimmed edge of the rim, the tendency of the rim to crack or break is minimized.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the detection of electromagnetic radiation comprising at least two elementary detectors (Dij), each elementary detector (Dij) comprising a first conductive terminal (pija) and a second conductive terminal (pijb) for sampling an electric signal representative of the detected radiation. The detection device incorporates first means (Iija) for connecting or disconnecting a first conductive terminal of the elementary detector (pija) with respect to a first input terminal of a processing circuit and second means (Iijb) for connecting or disconnecting a second conductive terminal (pijb) of the detector (Dij) with respect to a second input terminal of the processing circuit (Tj).

Abstract: A fluid control valve with a butterfly-type flow control element, with high operating reliability, comprising a valve body which is crossed by a passage with an inlet and an outlet which can be connected to two branches of a duct for a fluid to be controlled by means of the valve. The valve body accommodates, in an intermediate region of the passage, a butterfly-type flow control element which can be actuated in order to open or close the passage. The valve body supports, in the intermediate region of the passage, an annular gasket which can be engaged by the flow control element in the closure position. The valve body is provided in at least two parts which are mutually coupled at the region that is occupied by the annular gasket and lock the annular gasket between the parts in a mutual coupling position.

Abstract: The semiconducting ceramic material of the present invention containing BaTiO3 and having a positive temperature coefficient of resistance is endowed with high withstand voltage. In the semiconducting ceramic material, a boundary temperature defined at the boundary between a first temperature range and a second temperature range is 180° C. or more (e.g., 370° C.) higher than the Curie temperature, wherein the first temperature range is higher than the Curie temperature and the ceramic material has a positive temperature coefficient of resistance in the range, and the second temperature range is higher than the first temperature range and the ceramic material has a negative temperature coefficient of resistance in the range.

Abstract: Copper particle clusters constituting a powder suitable for making a conductive paste are provided that are individually composed of not fewer than two and not more than 20 unit particles joined through neck portions. A conductive paste made from the powder is excellent in conductivity. A conductive filler for conductive paste is provided that consists essentially of a mixture of copper particle clusters A individually composed of two or more unit particles joined through neck portions and spherical metallic particles B of smaller diameter than the particles A. A conductive paste made from the filler is low in viscosity and excellent in conductivity.
