Abstract: A high-pressure fuel pump control device and an in-cylinder injection engine control device are provided in which a high-pressure fuel pump accelerates a rise in fuel pressure from the start-up of an engine thereby to make it possible to shorten an engine start-up time, reduce an exhaust gas substance and improve or increase an engine output, for example. The high-pressure fuel pump control device and in-cylinder injection engine control device control an in-cylinder injection engine having a fuel injection valve provided in a cylinder, a high-pressure fuel pump for force-feeding a fuel to the fuel injection valve, and a crank angle sensor for detecting the position of a crankshaft of the cylinder. The high-pressure fuel pump is provided with a plunger for pressurizing the fuel placed in the high-pressure fuel pump, a pump drive cam for driving the plunger, and a cam angle sensor for detecting the position of the pump drive camp.

Abstract: Even when a reaction delay time of an A/F ratio detection device changes, an A/F ratio controller prevents an A/F ratio feedback control from being disturbed. The controller is programmed to calculate an A/F ratio feedback coefficient by proportional term control and integration term control, and to set length of time for said integration term to be carried out in accordance with an operating state of the engine. It is programmed to calculate the integration term based on the set time and to set a proportional term for shifting said A/F ratio feedback coefficient. It is further programmed to detect a deviation between a first A/F ratio feedback coefficient before the integration term is carried out and a second A/F ratio feedback coefficient after the integration term is carried out and the coefficient is shifted by the proportional term set by said means for setting the proportional term. Based on the detected deviation, the length of time for the integration term to be carried out is corrected.

Abstract: An injection molding screw is provided to prevent the materials from being left, and reduce the friction of the screw rotation and sliding only by limiting the end position of the screw flight to a certain position according to the position of the feeding opening in the heating cylinder. A screw 16 is rotationally and movably provided in a heating cylinder 10 having a nozzle at a tip end thereof. Granular metals fed from a feeding opening 13 at the rear of the heating cylinder are transferred forward by the screw rotation and melted. Melted metals metered in the end of the heating cylinder 10 are injected from the nozzle 11 by the forward movement of the screw. A rear end 19a of a screw flight 19 formed around the axis of the screw 16 is positioned below the rear edge of the feeding opening 13 at the rearmost position of the screw.

Abstract: A thermosyphon system is employed in conjunction with compact and/or dense configurations of electrical and/or electronic components to provide cooling. The thermosyphon cooling system is particularly advantageous in those systems in which the compact arrangement of circuit modules precludes the use of direct air cooling. The thermosyphon cooling system repositions the air cooling aspect of its cooling function to an exterior cabinet location distant from the circuit modules which can therefore be placed more closely together to shorten signal paths.

Abstract: The temperature distribution in a shell and tube type heat exchanger having an expansion joint is uniformized by improving the circulation efficiency of fluid in the shell side. The uniformization is attained by the heat exchanger having an invasion-preventing plate against the fluid in the shell side attached to the expansion joint installed around the periphery of the shell, and a method of catalytic gas phase oxidation reaction that uses the heat exchanger.

Abstract: A heat exchange cell for a recuperator includes top and bottom plates sandwiching a matrix finned member and a pair of header finned members. The top and bottom plates each include a pair of manifold openings, and the header finned members each include a curved free edge following the curvature of an associated manifold opening. The header finned member includes a high fin density portion along the free edge and a low fin density portion communicating with the high fin density portion. The dual fin density header finned member thus provides increased structural strength along the free edge and provides a low pressure drop through the low fin density portion.

Abstract: The present invention provides a heat-exchanging method for an easily polymerizable compound which method effectively prevents polymerization in a heat exchanger to enable a long-term stable heat exchange when an easily polymerizable liquid compound (for example, acrylate ester) or an easily polymerizable compound-containing liquid (for example, aqueous acrylic acid solution) is heat-exchanged. A vertical spiral type heat exchanger with a fluid path space of not less than 6 mm is used as a heat exchanger to carry out the heat exchange under conditions where the average liquid flow rate is not less than 0.2 m/sec and where the liquid residence time is not more than 100 seconds.

The structuring tools utilized for the various method modifications are adjusted in such a manner that they are not only able to create aligned, continuous grooves and non-aligned, spaced apart recesses but also secondary structures. The heat-exchanger tubes provided preferably with smooth end sections and smooth intermediate sections are utilized in particular in shell and tube heat-exchangers.
