Abstract: A protective lens assembly includes a protective lens, such as an auto-darkening lens, having a first viewing portion and a second viewing portion. One of the first or second viewing portions includes a magnifier plate, allowing the viewer to view magnified images through one of the first or second viewing portions and unmagnified images through the other of the first or second viewing portions. The lens assembly allows the viewer to perform close-up tasks and other tasks without having to reconfigure the lens assembly between tasks.

Abstract: A combined welding helmet apparatus is provided. The apparatus allows for several features to be incorporated into a single helmet. Particularly, several face and eye protection elements are incorporated into a single helmet. An integrated internal mechanism allows for selected elements to be functionally positioned while non-selected elements are unobtrusively positioned to a non-functional position. At least three face and eye protection elements are combined in the helmet; a dark filtered welding lens, a lighter filtered lens, and a clear safety plate.

Abstract: An improved sleeping eyelid cover that blocks a significant portion of light from entering a closed eye by way of the eyelid and allows uninhibited sight. The eyelid cover is safe and comfortable and conceived to be used as a sleep aide. The front side (14) and back side (16) of the eyelid cover are made of a flexible material that enables the eyelid cover to fold into (or out from) the ocular cavity and allow uninhibited sight for the wearer by the wearer opening his/her eyes. The eyelid cover attaches to the eye be way of adhesive which may be applied to the back side (16) of the cover in any number of configurations including small adhesive dots (18). Further, the eyelid cover may be composed of numerous layers of material to aide in blocking light.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a household heat recovery device and more specifically to a wastewater heat recovery unit, which absorbs residual heat from the water flowing onto the floor and down the drain of an ordinary household shower or bathtub unit. In one embodiment, the heat recovery device adapts for ease-of-use and enables quick set-up in most existing and typical showers or bathtubs without any tools and without coupling to the existing plumbing. Internal passages direct the effluent shower water through a serpentine path to a discharge drain. Over time, the heat transferred from the water to the device then radiates into the environment—thus reducing the total energy cost for a household by reducing the thermal load on the main heating unit for the household.

A piercing mechanism is positioned adjacent to the membrane of the reservoir and has a movable piercing element configured to puncture the membrane when the actuator assembly is activated. Activating the actuator assembly puts the dispensing structure in fluid connection with the reservoir when the piercing element pierces the membrane. In an alternative embodiment, the reservoir is configured to be impaled upon the piercing element upon activation.

An expandable container is configured and arranged to collect used eyewash fluid after the eyewash fluid has been dispensed to wash the injured person's eyes. The station can be further enhanced by equipping the expandable container with a pair of straps configured to compress the reservoir thereby providing a gravity assist to dispensing eyewash fluid.

The pump is configured into two parts, an impeller assembly and a drive assembly, that are configured to couple together. The impeller assembly is isolated from the drive assembly and can be easily replaced to ensure a sterile fluid path is maintained for the eyewash fluid. The drive assembly can be fluid powered or an electric motor as desired. The present invention allows a plumbed eyewash station to be retrofitted to use a sterile eyewash fluid. The present invention can also be used in portable eyewash station units too.
