Abstract: A chamber reinforcement for composite firearm barrel and method for forming the same. In one embodiment, the barrel includes an inner tube defining a bore that provides a bullet path and an outer sleeve preferably made of a material lighter in weight than the tube. In some embodiments, the inner tube is made of a material that preferably has a greater density and strength than the outer sleeve. The reinforcement in one embodiment may be in the form of an end cap disposed on a portion of the sleeve. The reinforcement preferably is made of a material comparable to the inner tube in density and strength to reinforce the area where a chamber is formed for receiving a cartridge. In the preferred fabrication, the reinforcement, tube, and sleeve are forged together to provide a strong and unitary structure for withstanding combustion pressures and forces associated with discharging the firearm.

Abstract: An invention uniting a gun sling and a bipod into one unit. The gun sling remains an active sling for transporting a firearm. The bipod, built into said sling, supports the firearm for increased accuracy. The bipod is a one handed, quick and easy setup. The bipod is comprised of multiple adjustable support legs, that when collasped are stored inside a stretchable nylon pouch, that is securely attached to a gun sling. By pulling downward on a thumb loop, that is located a bottom edge of said pouch, the support legs will automatically deploy into a supporting position thereby giving a shooter an adjustable pivotal support bipod. Support legs are then retracted by flip folding the legs sections back into said pouch preparing for the transporting of the firearm by the attached gun sling. Generally bipods are attached to the exterior of the firearm which will decrease the accuracy of the firearm and causes safety issues.

Abstract: A gun-cleaning device deploys a plurality of different tool pieces that connect to a rod or shaft that is inserted down the gun barrel. The tool pieces are adapted to be received by a latch mechanism disposed at the distal end of the rod or shaft. The latch mechanism does not protrude beyond the diameter of the shaft, yet is readily actuated with one finger to release the tool pieces without touching the tool itself. The tool pieces themselves are optionally configured to be either freely rotating or fixed with respect to the shaft axis when engaged by the latch mechanism.

Abstract: A deep sea fishing diver according to the present invention includes a body having front and rear ends, opposed top and bottom surfaces, and opposed sides that extend away from the top surface. The body includes a configuration that defines a center of gravity that is coincident with a center of effort. The diver includes a balance bar having forward and rearward portions extending upward from the top surface with a connecting portion. The balance bar is configured such that a fishing line attached thereto is movable between ready and tripped configurations. Gravity and current forces acting on the center of effort are collinear with a force between the fishing line and balance bar. This construction enables the diver to descend and maintain its position without weights, avoids erroneous tripping, and reduces cost.

Abstract: Clear Catch Fishing Hooks are transparent fishing hooks ideally made of plastic. Clear Catch Fishing Hooks operate in the same manner as traditional fishing hooks. They can be attached to a line and baited and/or attached to a lure. Due to their transparent construction, they are more difficult for a fish to identify and, consequently, more likely to allow a fishermen to catch fish.

Abstract: A trap for crabs or lobsters has a mesh extending over a trap frame, with at least one inlet opening provided with a one-way inlet gate spaced apart pins which are pivotable between open and closed positions. Pin retainers prevent spreading of the pins apart from one another when the pins are in the closed position and an undersized crab outlet opening, dimensioned to allow undersized crab or lobsters to escape from the interior chamber, is provided at a side of the trap and at the bottom of the trap. The frame includes an top peripheral frame portion and finger grip openings at the underside of the trap frame. The one-way inlet gate has first and second sets of spaced apart pins, each set being pivotable independently of the other between open and closed positions.

Abstract: The invention provides an emulsification technique which permits the formation of functional oil/water or functional granules/water emulsion systems excellent in thermal stability and long-term stability and which can attain the emulsification independent of required HLB of the functional oils, and the dispersion independent of surface properties of the functional granules. In the technique is used an emulsifying dispersant comprising, as the main component, vesicles formed from an amphiphilic substance capable of self-assembly or an emulsifying dispersant comprising single particles of a biopolymer as the main component. The particles made from amphiphilic substances capable of self-assembly are used.

Abstract: Biodiesel fuels are produced efficiently and at low cost from waste oil feeds containing high concentrations of fatty acids. By first producing an ester of a water immiscible alcohol, water of reaction from the esterification can be easily stripped out with and separated from the alcohol, which is recycled to the esterification reaction. Subsequent transesterification with glycerin produces a feed with a sufficiently low acid value to allow methanolysis using a basic catalyst to proceed rapidly without consumption of large quantities of catalyst or organic acid salt formation.

Abstract: Given the current world situation of fuel shortages and conflict over the finite amount of fuels available, it is very prudent to utilize every avenue available to increase the amount and quality of fuels available to use in power generation as well as other applications of steam. There are hundreds of thousands of tons of natural fuels, available for use here as well as other parts of the world. The BTU value of these waste materials is immeasurable. While most of these alternative fuels do not contain the highest BTU value, the amount of them available is beyond belief. The biggest drawback to alternative fuels has been the ease of utilization and quality of the product introduced into the combustors. Many years of testing and research by this individual have resulted in a variety of fuels that in addition to adding to the fuel supply of the world's consumers, will help to clean up the emission problems that are coming to the forefront of environmental concerns.
