Abstract: The invention disclosed provides a hinge capable of a vertical and overlay adjustment, comprised of a recessed hinge cup and a hinge arm connected to an attachment plate and an abutment plate which are further connected by a deformable hinge section. An overlay adjustment is provided by bending the deformable hinge section through use of an overlay adjustment screw fitted between the attachment plate and the abutment plate. The novel hinge provided is also adjustable vertically via an adjustment screw accessed by a portal in the attachment plate. The design is less complicated and therefore is lighter and less expensive than previous overlay adjustable hinges and allows delicate and semi-permanent adjustments to be made by a single installer.

Abstract: A hinge assembly for retaining two linkage members in a rotational relationship for casement windows and the like. A hinge stud has its proximal end secured against rotation in an aperture of a first linkage and the hinge stud is provided with a projecting pivot and the pin portion of the stud extending through a second aperture in the second linkage for rotation between the two members. The pin is retained from dislodging by a circular snap ring received in an annular groove in the distal end of the pin. The snap ring is retained in fixed axial position and alignment relative to the second aperture in a tubular housing which is secured to the second linkage. This prevents the snap ring from ever engaging and breaching the finish provided on the second linkage.

Abstract: A hinge for use in an electronic device has an inner hinge part and an outer hinge part for providing rotatability between two device parts, allowing the device to open and close, for example. The inner hinge part has a peripheral surface defining the axis for rotation and a through channel along the axis for cable routing from one device part to another, for example. The peripheral surface of the inner hinge part has a groove substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis. On the outer hinge part, a ball bearing attached to one end of a spring is used to engage with the groove. The spring is disposed in a channel in the outer hinge part with another end of the spring secured on the outer part by a pin. One or more indents on the groove enable click and stop positions of the hinge.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a spreading head harness for headphones or headsets and to headphones or headsets having a spreading head harness of this kind. In order to provide a spreading head harness for headphones or headsets which automatically spreads when opening or widening and remains spread during use and in which the partial harnesses are automatically brought together again after use, it is suggested to use partial harnesses and/or connection members of which the end areas twist around the longitudinal axis relative to the spring regions, the end areas are bent relative to the curvature, and a mechanical tension is generated in the partial harness when mounted.
