Abstract: A hair clipper (1) comprises a replaceable blade block (3) having a comb-shaped stationary blade (5) and a comb-shaped moving blade (6) which is reciprocally movable in a widthwise direction of the hair clipper (1), a main body (2) having a motor (8) and a driving member (14) to transfer and to transmit a driving force of the motor (8) to reciprocal motion of the moving blade (6), and to which the blade block (3) is detachably attached, and a pressing mechanism (4) to press the moving blade (6) toward the stationary blade (5). The pressing mechanism (4) is provided on the main body (2) and has at least one contact portion (4b) which reciprocally moves in synchronism with a reciprocal motion of the moving blade (6).

Abstract: The preferred embodiment of this invention will allow a medical practitioner to more easily, quickly, and specifically remove unwanted tissue from a patient. The curved blade with a specialized surface for cutting and scraping is better suited than current options for performing this task.

Abstract: A hand-held implement for trimming mounted photographs, posters, and other laminates includes a handle, an edge guide connected to the handle defining a side surface for traveling against the peripheral edge of the substrate, and an upper guide connected to the handle defining a lower surface for traveling against the exposed front surface of the laminate. A blade, mounted on the upper guide, has a cutting edge extending below the lower surface of the upper guide and immediately adjacent the side surface of the first guide. When the side surface is stabilized against the peripheral edge of the substrate and pushed forward, the blade produces an edge perfectly matched to the edge of the laminate and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Abstract: A device for cutting woody vegetation has a high-impact thermoplastic housing with a handle formed thereon for single-handed use by a left- or right-handed user. A cutting bar extends from the housing, with an endless cutting chain arranged on a track provided on a periphery of the cutting bar. Cutting elements are disposed on the endless chain. A direct current electric motor is mounted longitudinally in the housing such that a drive shaft of the motor terminates in a worm gear that transmits drive torque to a drive gear engaged with the endless chain. The cutting bar and electric motor are sized and positioned within the housing such that a balance point of the housing is located at an end of the handle portion in the direction of the cutting bar. Power for the electric motor is provided by a battery pack worn by the user.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a jigsaw with a rotatable handle and a saw blade for working on a work piece. A motor is received in a first housing for driving the saw blade. A transmission mechanism is provided for transferring energy from the motor to the saw blade. The transmission mechanism is received in a second housing. There is also provided a handle assembly for moving the jigsaw relative to the work piece. The handle assembly is supported on one of the first housing or the second housing. The handle assembly is rotatably movable relative to at least one of the first and second housing. The jigsaw has small volume and it can provide accurate bevel cutting.

Abstract: A mode selection apparatus for a jigsaw having scrolling and orbital modes is disclosed. The mode selection apparatus comprises a locking arm (76) moveable between a first position in which a scroller knob (56) is rotatable relative to the tool housing, a second position in which the locking arm engages the scroller knob to prevent it from rotating relative to the tool housing and an output shaft of the jigsaw is prevented from pivoting about a pivot axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the output shaft, and a third position in which the scroller knob is prevented from rotating relative to the tool housing and the output shaft is causes to pivot about the pivot axis. The locking arm (76) has a slot (84) for engaging a tooth (86) on a scroll selector (48) for moving the locking arm between the first, second and third positions thereof. The tooth (86) remains in engagement with the slot (84) during movement of the locking arm between the first, second and third positions.

Abstract: A method for gaging a thread can include gaging at least one preliminary thread using a preliminary gage (e.g., a preliminary go gage, and/or a preliminary no go gage). The preliminary thread can be produced in a first step by removing material from the workpiece. The at least one preliminary thread has a preliminary thread profile, and the preliminary thread gage is adapted to the preliminary thread profile. In addition, the method can involve gaging a final thread using a final-thread gage (e.g., a preliminary final-thread go gage and/or a final-thread no-go gage). The final thread can be formed in a second step by plastic pressing-in of the material of the workpiece at least in a section of the preliminary thread profile using at least one thread-forming profile. The final thread has a final thread profile, and the final-thread gage can be adapted to the final thread profile.

Abstract: A vehicle tie rod adjustment device for changing the toe of a vehicle wheel by adjusting the overall length of a tie rod assembly. The tie rod adjustment device generally includes a housing, a gear train, an adjustable gear head, and a nut runner. The pivotal gear head threadably adjusts the tie rod assembly by rotatably engaging a hex or flatted portion and a lock nut, and includes one or more roller elements spaced around a guide fork recess to reduce a sliding friction with the tie rod assembly. According to another embodiment, the tie rod adjustment device includes a locking mechanism for maintaining the adjustable gear head in a proper alignment so that one or more components of the gear head can be removed.

The barcode symbols can be organized in first and second blocks (12, 11) of barcode symbols, each providing a position indication, wherein the length (Ls) occupied along the rod (1) by a first block (12) is smaller than the length (Lb) occupied along the rod by a second block (11), the first blocks thereby providing a finer position indication than the second blocks. The first blocks (12) of barcode symbols can be formed of monochrome and colour bar code symbols, e.g. just one colour barcode symbol and at least one monochrome barcode symbol, while the second blocks (11) can be formed purely of colour barcode symbols. The invention also relates to a level determining apparatus specifically adapted for the above rod, and to a method of using that rod.

Abstract: Taught herein is a portable digital horizontal inclinometer which utilizes magnetic field to dampen the free swing of the pendulum. The inclinometer features simple structure, small size, high sensitivity, good linearity, high precision, and strong anti-jamming capability. It is also easy to manufacture and provide fast and accurate reading over a wide range of inclination angles of up to 360°.

Abstract: A combination measuring tape and pencil sharpener has a removable sharpening unit to provide a convenient field sharpener. A conventional retractable measuring tape is combined with pencil sharpener unit. The removable sharpener unit frictionally engages the measuring tape housing. Sharpener unit is located in an opening in the rear of the measuring tape housing and the shavings are discharged from an opening in the housing bottom positioned under the sharpening unit blade. The sharpening units can be replaced when worn or to accommodate a round or carpenter's pencil.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for producing and/or transforming a web of fibrous material, in particular a paper cardboard web. Said device includes a heatable and rotatable cylinder, in particular a dry cylinder of a dry part, including a cylinder sleeve which can be impinged upon from the inside by a heating fluid. At least one channel is provided in order to guide the heating fluid such that the heating capacity can be improved and the production below the external surface of the cylinder cover can be simplified. The dry cylinder is at least partially modular.

Abstract: Disclosed is a dryer for a medical capsule. The dryer has a body including a rectangular frame and a dry box installed in the body. A gear wheel installed in the body and a gear array is formed in the dry box to engage with the gear wheel. Guide rollers are rotatably installed at both sides of an upper portion of the gear wheel, and a cover is provided to cover the dry box, which is accommodated in the body while partially protruding upward out of the body. A front plate is provided to open/close a front portion of the rectangular frame of the body, and a support plate is provided at a rear portion of the front plate in line with the guide rollers to support the dry box coming out of the body.

Abstract: A device for displaying a disabled parking permit includes a housing with a hook for hanging the device from a rear view mirror in a motor vehicle. The disabled parking permit is provided on opposite faces of a flexible sheet placard that is wound onto a spring-loaded roll contained within the housing. The placard can be pulled down from a slot opening on the bottom of the housing to a fully extended position for displaying the disabled parking permit in a manner that allows visibility from both the front and rear of the vehicle when the vehicle is parked. The placard retracts and rolls up within the housing, onto the spring-loaded roll, to avoid obstruction of view when driving.

Abstract: An edge-lit light box provides an attractive display by directing light through an image area on a light box. The light box includes a light box frame having at least one light source connected to the interior thereof. An opaque backing is attached to a first side the frame. A display member is attached to a second side of the frame opposite the backing, the display screen preferably being a transparent or translucent substrate having an opaque area and an image area, whereby light emitted by the light source emits into a void between the backing and the display member and light exits the light box through the image area such that a viewer sees an illuminated image defined by the image area.

The releasable attachment may be achieved with one or more magnets. The display structure contains features that allow attachment to a mounting surface and may contain features that enhance the display of the graphic image.

The housing is formed with an opening on one side so that the image or graphics on the signs within the device may be easily seen and the top sign may be physically accessed by the user. The housing is formed with a notch adjacent the open end to provide a gripping area for removing the sign and a retaining strap may be provided to extend over the open end of the housing to keep the signs securely in the storage device during storage and transportation. Carrying straps may be employed to facilitate carrying the sign transportation and storage device, and storage pouches may be provided for tools.

In the method of use, a quilt is draped over a top elongated support rod and retained in a display position via cooperation between the top elongated support rod and a lower elongated support rod.

Abstract: A yarn label holder is provided for the storage of a manufacturer's yarn label and an identification card and includes a connecting elastic attachment that secures the yarn label holder to the yarn ball. Abstract: The present invention provides an adjustable cheek rest for installation on the butt stock of a firearm, the cheek rest having an elongate comb adapted to conform to the top portion of the butt stock, the comb being supported on a rail that is fixed to, or removably mounted to, one side of the butt stock. The cheek rest comb is adjustable both longitudinally and vertically with respect to the butt stock to suit the needs of a particular shooter, the comb being attached to the butt stock by a fixture slidably engaging the rail to permit longitudinal adjustment and slidably engaging the comb to permit vertical adjustment. Once adjusted, the comb may be secured in a desired longitudinal and vertical location. A removable rail is also provided for mounting the cheek rest and/or other accessories to a firearm butt stock not having a fixed accessory mounting rail.

Abstract: A stock stabilizer hook attachment, in the shape of a generally triangular or L-shaped body, can be removably secured to the lower rear edge of a standard rifle stock butt. Most rifles are equipped with front and rear swivel or fixed sling studs which can be used to attach a sling. In order to attach the hook attachment of the present invention to a conventional rifle but having installed swivel studs, the rear swivel or fixed sling stud is removed, the hook attachment is positioned on the rifle butt, and a screw/bolt is used to secure the hook attachment to the stock butt. For one embodiment of the invention the hook attachment is slidably adjustable along the lower edge of the stock butt, and can be tightened in any position within a provided range of movement. Another embodiment of the invention is non-adjustable.
