  • Patent number: 7578089
Abstract: A weapon grip assembly for attachment to a forward portion of a weapon is provided. The invention includes a base assembly supported for operative engagement by a handle. The base assembly includes clamps adapted to be secured to a forward portion of the weapon and further includes a post having a clamp end adapted to retain the clamps for pivot motion with respect thereto. The post of the base assembly is received within a bore of the handle, a mandrel being interposed between the handle and the clamps of the base assembly. As the base assembly is drawn into the handle, by rotation of the handle about the post of the base assembly, the mandrel receives the clamp end of the post, with an upper free surface thereof engaging the clamps for pivoted closure about a portion of the weapon in furtherance of securing the weapon grip assembly thereto.

  • Patent number: 7578106
Abstract: A seismic wall molding for suspended ceiling systems that, although sufficiently wide across its horizontal ceiling supporting leg, is visually unobtrusive by virtue of a stepped, shadow style configuration. The stepped horizontal leg configuration allows the wall molding to resist buckling or bending deformation in the horizontal leg when a vertical leg of the molding is tightly secured against a non-flat wall surface. Factory ends on the wall molding are at parallel 45 degree planes to facilitate making inside and outside corners at the job site. A factory supplied template simplifies corner construction. A splice piece fits tightly on the upper sides of the horizontal legs at a straight-line joint between abutting lengths of the wall molding to maintain these elements in alignment.

  • Patent number: 7578126
Abstract: A wave power installation is presented, comprising a flow chamber, an air-driven turbine disposed in the chamber and coupled with an electro-generator, a float having a cavity accumulating air, communicated with the chamber, a vacuum-creating ejector disposed in water mounted under the float, which ejector is performed as a confuser-diffuser conduit, wherein at least a portion thereof is vertically positioned. The conduit has a minimal through cross-section. At least one reverse valve is mounted in the vicinity of the minimal cross-section. The conduit is communicated with the cavity via the reverse valve. The chamber and turbine can be located on a coast. In embodiments, the conduit is furnished with a cylindrical nozzle, thereby making it stepwise widening downwardly. During both the upward and downward motions of the float, airflow is produced through the chamber, providing for practically continuous generation of electric energy by the installation, and improving its efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7578128
Abstract: An air bypass valve failure detecting device outputs an opening command to an air bypass valve when a throttle valve suddenly closes, thereby prevent surging from occurring in a second intake passage between a turbocharger and a throttle valve. When the opening command is outputted to the air bypass valve, failure detection for the air bypass valve is permitted only if an intake air quantity of an engine immediately before a closing command is changed to the opening command is equal to or larger than a predetermined value. Thus, it is possible to prevent the failure detecting device from erroneously determining that the air bypass valve is normal although valve closing failure of the air bypass valve has occurred. This is because, when the intake air quantity is smaller than the predetermined value, surging does not occur in the second intake passage even if the valve closing failure of the airy bypass valve has occurred.
