Abstract: Forklift and material handling procedures involve many safety, productivity, and efficiency constraints. Foremost among these is the inability of equipment operators to accurately determine the alignment of equipment forks to the material or vessle being handled. The “Forklift/Material Handling Fork Level Indicator” described herein, eliminates this problem. By employing a rearward facing baseplate, minor, indicator needle, and graduated scale, the equipment operator can literally “see around a corner” to easily determine equipment mast vertical condition, fork to floor parallelism, and thus accurate alignment of equipment forks to pallets, skids, or other shipping and storage containers upon approach to, or withdrawl from said vessles. Installed on the side of the main vertical mast of material handling equipment, this device provides a side view of the main mast position, via the freely rotating indicator needle, directly to the operator while in normal operating position.

The exoskeleton can define one or more holes through which the sheet is visible to form one or more aesthetic regions on the upper. An article of footwear constructed with the method is also provided.

Abstract: Method and apparatus to protect the lower legs of a pair of pants when worn with a shoe comprising and open back. The apparatus protects the lower pants legs from being compressed between the users heel and the sole of the shoe when walking. The apparatus is an external attachment to the shoe and is comprised of a heel cover and shoe insole. The heel cover extends from the shoe insole upward approximately 6 inches to cover the heel of the user and the shoe insole is either a full shoe insole inserted into the shoe or a partial shoe insole that is attached to the heel or outsole of the shoe by a sleeve/strap assembly.

Abstract: A mechanical garment press assembly enables users to mechanically press garments during travel and may be stored or carried in combination with standard carry-on luggage. The garment press assembly comprises opposed outer resilient planar members, each of which has a hinge end and a clamp end. A hinge member flexibly interconnects the hinge ends. Clamping structure clamps the clamp ends toward one another after a (wrinkled) garment section is received intermediate the opposed outer planar members for imparting primary wrinkle-removing forces into the target garment section. Tension members interconnect the hinge ends to the clamp ends and retain the resilient members is bowed tension for imparting secondary wrinkle-removing forces into the target garment section. Various portable assemblies are contemplated based on the foregoing basics as well as a home-based version. Certain garment pressing methods are also described based on the foregoing basics.

Abstract: A spiral wrapping for an ironer roller for a chest ironer. Chest ironers have at least one rotatably drivable ironer roller, the lower half of which is surrounded by a stationary ironer bed. The ironer roller is surrounded by an outer spiral wrapping which comes into contact with the item of laundry to be treated. The spiral wrapping is provided with an outer layer produced from a coarse woven fabric which has a higher coefficient of friction. The coefficient of friction of the coarse woven fabric does not alter as the age of the spiral wrapping increases. This means that even in the case of older spiral wrappings, there is sufficient frictional engagement between the spiral wrapping, namely the outer layer, and the item of laundry to be smoothed out.
