The brush section includes an insert being made from a first thermoplastic material by injection-molding, at least one oral cleaning element and a cleaning element carrier consisting of a second thermoplastic material or a second thermoplastic mixture. The insert and the at least one cleaning element are partially embedded into the cleaning element carrier by over-molding and the cleaning element carrier at least partly engages behind the insert. The hardness of the second thermoplastic material is less than the hardness of the first thermoplastic material.

Abstract: A process for producing toothbrushes covered with bristles in an anchor-free manner, in which a tuft of bristles with cylindrical bristles and/or pointed bristles is introduced into a receiving recess of a mold of a bristle-providing machine and, by means of a profiled pin guided in the receiving recess, force is applied to the end facing the pin of the bristles of the tuft of bristles for the alignment thereof, so that the bristles of the tuft of bristles are aligned by means of an end face of the profiled pin and, as a result, form the topography that complements the topography of the end face of the profiled pin, wherein the profiled pin has on the end face that acts on the bristles a discontinuous surface, which forms multiple levels. This achieves a bristle area configuration that has multiple areas of use. A correspondingly produced toothbrush is also described.

Abstract: The multiple paint roller holder includes a roller frame and a handle connected to the roller frame. The handle is preferably connected to the frame by a bent or angled neck to place the handle in a raised position. The roller frame includes an upper cross member having corresponding upper roller holding pins, a lower cross member having corresponding lower roller holding pins, and an extendable center beam interconnecting the upper and lower cross members. Each pair of upper roller holding pin and lower roller holding pin rotatably holds a paint roller therebetween. The extendable center beam allows temporary lengthening of the center beam to facilitate mounting and removal of a plurality of paint rollers disposed vertically within the frame. The multiple paint rollers held thereby facilitate faster painting of surfaces.

Abstract: A fastener with a breakaway and methods of using the same. In one embodiment the fastener is a screw having a head and elongated stem, adapted to be easily manipulated by a user when using the screw as a fastener in a hinge or joint. A means of holding a screw by providing a breakaway tab or non-threaded portion of the elongated stem which can be used to align and insert the screw into a screw hole in the process of engaging threads in the screw hole with threads of the screw. After engaging the threads in the screw hole, such as after the screw has been essentially completely inserted into the screw hole, the breakaway tab or non-threaded portion of the elongated stem of the screw may be broken off at a breakaway and discarded.

The hook has a shank section, a bend section, a point section, and a gap. The edge of the clothing pocket is positioned within the gap and is embraced by the shank section, the bend section, and the point section. The shank section has a first concave portion, and the point section has a second concave portion, a convex portion, and a rounded tip. The gap also has a wide opening and a narrow space.

Abstract: A device is used for gripping and securing cable for the purpose of suspending objects or loads. The device may be a two-barrel device that allows the user to create a loop of cable to secure to a hanging load, or to a structural member. The user of the locking device feeds the cable through one barrel, around an object to be suspended, and through the other barrel. The device has carriers installed in sockets in a housing, with wedge-shape jaws in openings in the carriers able to engage the cable and hold the cable within the device. Pushing or pulling of the carrier is used to release the spring force pressing the jaws inward, allowing the cable to be removed from the device.

Abstract: Various clamps for connecting one tubular member to another, methods of using and making such clamps are disclosed. In one aspect a clamp for coupling a first tubular member to a second tubular member is provided. The clamp includes a first clamp half and a second clamp half engageable with the first clamp half. The first and second clamp halves define a first through bore to accommodate the first tubular member and a second through bore to accommodate the second tubular member. A strap is adapted to circumscribe at least a portion of and bring into engagement the first and second clamp halves. The clamp is buoyant in water.

Abstract: A magnetic jewelry clasp is described that includes a first body member having a magnet that defines a first magnetically attractive surface. The clasp includes a second body member that has a magnet that defines a second magnetically attractive surface that magnetically connects to the first magnetically attractive surface to define a first locking arrangement of the clasp. The clasp includes a safety catch that has a first protuberance that is adapted to open and close the safety catch. The safety catch includes a second protuberance that fits over the end of the second body member which defines a second locking arrangement of the clasp. The Safety catch is designed so that it will function whether the two bodies are brought together with both right side up or with one up side down. It includes a pair of side panels that prevent misalignment of the first and second body members.

The apparatus utilizes a sturdy solid tube to create a separation between the area enclosed within the tube and body of liquid outside. A guiding lid with multiple openings allows a specific tool to be guided into the tube for conducting repairs. A draining assembly drains the liquid enclosed within the tube. A drier assembly creates a dry workable space within the tube. A repair assembly is used to conduct a specific repair operation including spray painting, filling up holes, filling in caulking to cover up cracks, sanding within the workable space. An inspection assembly is used to remotely inspect the surface that needs repair.

Abstract: A method for producing a single-clad or multiple-clad product includes providing a welded assembly comprising a cladding material disposed on a substrate material. Both the substrate material and the cladding material are individually selected alloys. At least a first edge of the cladding material of the welded assembly does not extend to a first edge of the substrate material and thereby provides a margin between the first edges. A material that is an alloy having hot strength greater than the cladding material is within the margin and adjacent the first edge of the cladding material. The welded assembly is hot rolled to provide a hot rolled band, and the material within the margin inhibits the cladding material from spreading beyond the edge of the substrate material during the hot rolling. In certain embodiments of the methods, the substrate material is stainless steel and the cladding material is nickel or a nickel alloy.

Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for power connection, which may be a sealed power connection. The sealed power connection may be used with an electric machine or any device that may require electrical and/or mechanical connection for power. The sealed power connection may provide an effective electrical connection while providing a robust mechanical connection. The electric machine or device may be fluid-sealed and/or fluid-cooled. The sealed power connection may provide for electrical insulation of the connection from the machine or device enclosure, and may also be sealed to provide for fluid sealing and/or internal fluid cooling of the electric machine or device, as well as fluid cooling of the connection.

Abstract: An abradable honeycomb is integrally formed in a turbine nozzle sealing flange for engagement with a bucket angel wing to reduce the leakage of air into the turbine's hot gas path. The honeycomb is integrally formed in a turbine nozzle sealing flange using a sinker EDM method to directly sink the honeycomb into the sealing flange itself, so that the honeycomb is an integral part of the flange. For repair, an entirely new honeycomb flange can be made and welded or brazed on to the turbine nozzle.
