Abstract: A method for roller burnishing a cylindrical component part surface of a workpiece includes using a roller burnishing tool including at least one rolling element. The at least one rolling element is pressed by hydrostatic pressurization radially outwardly against the component part surface and is left to roll down on the component part surface by rotating the roller burnishing tool or the workpiece. The torque arising as a result of the friction between the at least one rolling element and the component part surface is detected and sent for evaluation.

Abstract: An electrode production system is configured so that a metal foil is folded back a plurality of times and conveyed by a plurality of rollers that are disposed for a coating device, a drying device and a pressing device. A coating process, a drying process and a pressing process are serially performed by the coating device, the drying device and the pressing device, respectively, by using the rollers. This makes it possible to unwind the rolled metal foil and convey the metal foil in the up-and-down direction. The coating device, the drying device and the pressing device can be integrated and thus the size of the electrode production system can be reduced. Furthermore, since a small-size electrode production system can be configured, it is easy to install the electrode production system in a clean and dry environment.

Abstract: In order to ensure that the process of setting a blind rivet is reliable, during the setting operation a rivet mandrel is gripped by gripping jaws of a tension head and is pulled in the axial direction for deforming a rivet sleeve. The tension head and the rivet mandrel, in this case, are matched to one another in such a manner that the gripping jaws initially slide along a gripping portion along the rivet mandrel in their closed position until they reach a predetermined tension position, which is defined in particular by a stop, from which the necessary tensile force for the deforming of the rivet sleeve is first transferred onto the rivet mandrel.

Abstract: A tool is provided for moving a first clamping or gripping member toward or away from a second facing clamping or gripping member, the tool having a double threaded drive shaft coupled to opposed threaded linkage driving members for causing the threaded linkage driving members to be driven toward or away from each other. As the threaded linkage driving members move closer, the resulting angle of the links becomes steeper, thus increasing the mechanical advantage of the clamping tool, enhancing clamping forces. A beneficial result is a clamping apparatus that requires less manual energy than a traditional clamp. Another beneficial result is provided if the same amount of energy is applied to the driveshaft as in a traditional clamp, the resulting clamping force is significantly higher. If the second clamping member is adjustable, it accommodates wide variations in thickness of an object positioned between the first and second clamping members.
