Abstract: A protective garment and undergarment with scissor deflecting and jamming obstacles comprises strapping having the obstacles in series patterned to be parallel to a strap thereof and have parallel and angular surfaces thereto configured to deflect a pair of commercial scissor blades into an angle of incidence to the strap. A spacing between obstacles is also configured to be less than a total thickness of the scissor blades in order to jam the scissors there between and impede or deter an assault of the wearer. The garment also comprises a waist strap, a crotch strap and thigh straps disposed at an outer respective edge of the garment. Each strap comprises a non-elastic material and the cut-resistant obstacle strapping permanently disposed there around configured to deflect a pair of scissors into an obstacle cutting position or jam the pair of scissors on an obstacle thereof and impede or deter an assault.

Abstract: A bio-based wetsuit and material is described where ethanol derived from sugar cane is dehydrated into ethylene and polymerized to produce bio-based ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM). The bio-based EPDM is mixed with additives and a blowing agent to produce sugar cane derived closed-cell foam for use in wetsuits. Depending on the wetsuit application, the density of the sugar cane derived foam may vary. In many wetsuit applications low densities such as less than 0.25 grams/cubic centimeters are desirable.

Abstract: A batting pad comprising a body made from a cushioning material and having a ring portion adapted to fit over a batter's thumb and an appendage to cushion the palm area between a batter's thumb and index finger. The appendage has a thickness T at its thickest point located between the first end and the distant end, and the thickness T of the appendage is selected to optimize an angle of a bat in the batter's hand relative to a line parallel to the batter's forearm, the angle being determined by the thickness T of the appendage displacing the bat toward the tip of the batter's index finger and causing the bat to contact the palm of the batter's hand near the batter's little finger.

Active heating and cooling may be done by any of a variety of methods. Outside of the cell layer is a vibrating or massaging layer, which again may be powered or operated by any of a number of mechanisms. The outermost layer is an insulating layer.

The wrap is a single integral structure formed of a fabric and including a central portion having a top edge and a bottom edge; upper left and right members extending outwardly from the top edge of the central portion; and lower left and right members extending outwardly from the bottom edge of the central portion; wherein each of the upper members has a greater length compared to the length of each of the lower members.

Abstract: The Hook Button Simulated Knot Adjustable Length Necktie is designed with a top and bottom portion. The top portion is comprised of an upside down half frustum rubber device, with a continuous extension at the top on either side. The top portion also comprises a horizontal adjusting bar. The top portion is covered in fabric to make a simulated tie knot which when worn has the appearance of a conventional tie knot finish. Unique to this invention is the Hook Button installed at the back of the top portion which is used for the necktie to be worn on the collar button. The magnetic element has a first pole orientated in a direction exterior of the sport equipment, and is configured to produce a repulsive magnetic force when a second magnetic element of a second sport equipment is at a predetermined distance from the sport equipment prior to the sport equipment contacting the second sport equipment. The magnetic element reduces the impact force prior to a potential impact, and the impact absorbing member reduces the impact force after any impact.

The present invention thereby provides at a low cost a flameproof spun yarn and a flameproof fabric having excellent designability and flameproofness, and clothes and a flameproof work clothes using the same.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling infrared radiation (IR) sources of a sauna including tuning IR wavelength-ranges and radiated power-levels of IR sources, and directing IR to locations on a user's body. In one illustrative embodiment, a sauna may be provided having adjustable heat sources to emit IR at any wavelength resulting in a desirable radiation treatment for the sauna user. In another illustrative embodiment, a method is provided for tuning IR sources in a sauna.

More particularly, some embodiments of the invention relates to tempering the temperature of water supplied to a fixture from a water heater in a fluid conducting system. Abstract: A toothbrush has an elongate handle and one brushing head. The brushing head is bent at a 90° angle relative to the handle. The bristles project from the brush head parallel to the gripping surface of the handle. The angle enables ease of access to the lingual surfaces of all teeth, especially the anterior teeth. The 90° angle also permits access to effectively clean the distal surfaces of teeth as well as the lingual surfaces of teeth and implants possessing any amount of gingival recession.
