Abstract: A solar power conversion kit allows converting of a standard umbrella into a solar charging umbrella, which can then use solar power to charge electronic devices. The solar charging umbrella is self-sustained, capable of charging electronic devices in locations away from electrical outlets. The umbrella has a rechargeable battery that is recharged by sunlight. When charged, the umbrella's battery can charge devices when sunlight is not available. The umbrella supports simultaneous charging of higher power devices such as tablet computers.

Abstract: A antitheft purse assembly for inhibiting theft includes a purse that is comprised of an electrically conductive material. A trigger is releasably coupled to the purse and the trigger is attached to a user. Thus, the trigger is triggered when the purse is forcibly removed from the user. A shocking unit is integrated into the purse and the shocking unit is electrically coupled to the trigger. The shocking unit is turned on when the trigger is triggered to deliver an electric shock to a thief who has forcibly removed the purse from the user.

Abstract: The invention relates to a collapsible luggage bag that improves maneuverability of the bag when a user is towing the bag and collapses to a reduced size to improve portability. In particular, the invention relates to a handle that is slideably interconnected to one or more stays such that the upper ends of the stays change position along the length of the handle as the handle retracts into the luggage. Further, the handle disconnects from one or more of the stays such that the handle, stays, and other frame components collapse and lie in a common plane. This collapsibility improves the portability of the luggage bag when the internal volume of the luggage bag is not used to store items.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to an open-loop cooling system installed on a refrigerated barge for removing heat from an external heat exchanger. The system includes an open loop with a pump drawing water from the environment and forcing the water across the outer surface of the heat exchanger to augment existing heat removal due to contact with and flow of water across the heat exchanger due to the motion of the barge. A fluid is forced across the side faces and inner faces of the cooler to increase heat transfer from the barge closed-loop cooling system to the water environment.

Abstract: A play yard can be locked in an unfolded position via a latch mechanism or unlocked by the latch mechanism to fold to a folded position, by means of lifting a central member and bringing the rail members, the upper support members, the lower support members, and the connecting members to rotate toward the center of the play yard. A spring-loaded engaging member disposed on the rail member can have engagement with the bracket so that the play yard can be stably retained in the folded position. When the engaging member is operated to disengage from the bracket, the rail members, the upper support members, the lower support members, and the connecting members rotate away from the center of the play yard all the way to the unfolded position until the connecting members can be locked by the latch mechanism, which retains the play yard in the unfolded position.

Abstract: A container such as a beverage container is characterized by a device arranged within the container to impart a laminar flow to a fluid being poured or dispensed within the container. The laminar flow device is arranged in either the central portion of the container or in a side wall of the container. In a preferred embodiment, the flow device includes a plurality of flutes which slow the flow of the beverage into the container. In addition, the container bottom wall is preferably concave to provide a smooth transition for the flow of beverage from the laminar device to the container bottom and up the interior of the container during filling. The laminar device reduces the formation of foam within the fluid during filling of the container. A flow director is also provided for connecting a fluid dispenser with the laminar flow device.
