Abstract: A table includes a folding modesty panel and integrated wire management system. A folding portion of the modesty panel is shaped to retain wires within a channel in both a folded position and a deployed position. When the table is to be folded for storage, the modesty panel is folded up against the underside of the work surface and the work surface is then pivoted to a vertical orientation. The channel wires are retained within the channel between the movable portion of the modesty panel and the underside of the work surface to secure the wires while the table is in the storage position. When the table is deployed, the modesty panel may be unfolded to extend below the underside of the work surface. The modesty panel defines a channel in this position as well to also retain the wires while the modesty panel is in the unfolded deployed position.

Abstract: A foldable knee-brace for support a table having an edge secured to a wall. The knee-brace includes first and second struts. The second strut includes a pair of parallel bars. Ends of the bars are disposed on opposite sides of an end of the first strut, and hinged thereto. Pockets formed into each bar's side surface are positionable adjacent to the first strut's end for receiving an end of a locking-pin carried at and projecting outward from the first strut's end. Ends of the first strut and second strut's bars furthest from the hinge are equipped for hinged fastening respectively to: a. the table near a second edge thereof furthest from the wall; and b. to the wall below the table's first edge. Configured in this way, the knee-brace folds between the table and the wall when the table is collapsed adjacent to the wall.

  • Patent number: 7421957
Abstract: An overhead storage system includes support beams forming a frame to a deck around its perimeter and four corner vertical mounts for suspending the deck from a ceiling. The frame is preferably made of Z-shaped beams supported by vertical L-shaped corner supports to provide strong support for a deck. The Z-shaped beams provide strength and a horizontal surface on which a deck can be rested. A welded wire deck can be strengthened by bonding it to ribs. In some embodiments, center supports can preferably be positioned anywhere along the length of the support beams, and do not require holes in the beams for mounting. The beams are preferably connected to the vertical corner brackets without using threaded fasteners, thereby making the assembly easier for assembly by a homeowner.

Abstract: A wire gripper having a gripping mechanism capable of gripping two wires at a desirable position thereof for suspending a heavy article without a rotation of the article around an axis of each wire is provided. The wire gripper (1) has an inner sleeve (10) and an outer sleeve (40). The inner sleeve (10) is formed with two wire-insertion bores (11) and two pairs of ball-set bores (21), each bore open at both the wire-insertion bores and an outer surface of the inner sleeve. And, the inner sleeve (10) has a tapered outer surface formed at a portion where the ball-set bores are formed. A spring 60 biases the inner sleeve (10) so that the tapered outer surface of the inner sleeve (10) contacts the tapered inner surface (41a) of the outer sleeve (40). Large-diameter balls (31) and small-diameter balls (31) are received in the ball-set bores (21) and protrude partially into the wire-insertion bores (11) so as to press the wire with three balls in the four balls.
