Patent number: 6604472Abstract: A pair of embodiments are disclosed for providing a computer table attachable to a piece of luggage standing in an upright position upon which a portable computer may be supported for typing use. One embodiment provides a simple, flat, custom-designed piece of ABS plastic with a foldable leaf portion adapted to be received in a cavity in the flat plastic tray. The leaf portion has trunnions adjacent one end which are adapted to be received into complemental slots to allow the leaf to fold away. In this embodiment the tray has a reduced overall thickness than in the second embodiment. In the second embodiment the tray is fitted with a fixed upstanding rib member rather than one which may be folded away. In both embodiments a further but shorter rib is provided at the opposite end of the tray to insure that a computer does not slide off the tray while the tray is in use. Another slight rib could extend about the periphery of the table.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2001Date of Patent: August 12, 2003Inventor: William S. McNeil

Patent number: 6591762Abstract: A corner shelf assembly for corner walls using a flat shelf member with two perpendicularly disposed edges. Each of the edges includes at least one tongue member that extends coplanarly and is removably inserted within respective casing members that are cooperatively mounted within openings at the corner walls. The casing members accepting the tongues from one of the edges are wider so that the flat shelf member can be slid horizontally after this first set of tongues is inserted. A latching mechanism is used to keep the flat shelf member in place. Alternatively, corner the shelf assembly may include locking clips that are inserted in the casings after the user inserts the tongues in the wider casings. The locking clips prevent lateral movements of the shelf assembly. The corner shelf assembly can be removed upon the application of a predetermined amount of lifting force to the shelf member.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2002Date of Patent: July 15, 2003Inventor: Alireza Haghayegh
