Abstract: A gas dispensing system for a beverage system is disclosed herein. The gas dispensing system can releasably secure a gas canister or other gas source for release of pressurized gas therein to the beverage system. In an embodiment, the gas dispensing system includes a distribution body that can articulate between a loading position and a dispensing position. In the loading position, a gas canister can be releasably secured within the system. As the distribution body is moved into the dispensing position, a puncture mechanism can be moved further into the distribution body, puncturing the gas canister for release of pressurized gas. The distribution body can be fluidically coupled with a valve or other flow control element of the beverage machine, allowing for controlled entry of the pressurized gas into the system.

Abstract: An airgun has a high pressure reservoir for providing a pressurized motive gas to a breech to fire a projectile. A regulator is intermediate the high pressure reservoir and a downstream firing pressure reservoir for providing a consistent regulated pressure of the motive gas in the firing pressure reservoir. The airgun includes a bypass line for selectively connecting the high pressure reservoir to the firing pressure reservoir, independently of the regulator. Thus, an operator can select a firing of the airgun with either a regulated gas pressure in the firing reservoir or the pressure of the high pressure reservoir.

Abstract: A novel and unique pneumatic paintball marker having a variety of novel features, the first being an on/off compressed air control valve, positioned at the front of the marker below the barrel and adjacent to an in-line pressure regulator. Major innovations have been made in reducing the size and weight of the body of the marker, along with the construction of a new bolt assembly consisting of just four components and only one moving part. An anti-chop eye electronic system insures that the paintballs are in proper position, and rubber ball detents are optionally added to hold the paintballs in place prior to firing the marker, so that the paintballs will not roll out the barrel.

Abstract: A compact paintball marker having a valve with a blow back hole and reservoir. The blow back hole and reservoir increase the percentage of the compressed gas that is released in response to a trigger pull that is utilized to push the striker back to a cocked position. This improves the reliability of the automatic re-cocking of the marker even when there is low pressure from the compressed gas source.

  • Patent number: 8286621
Abstract: The pneumatically powered projectile launching device has a bolt located within a body. A front gas chamber in the body has an opening through which the bolt extends into the chamber. The bolt can move forward and backward thereby changing the volume of the front chamber. The bolt has a backward facing working surface. A gas valve in the body selectively releases compressed gas into the chamber. The released gas applies pressure on the backward facing working surface of the bolt to move the bolt forward, and then passes through a passage in the bolt to pneumatically force the projectile to leave the device. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 8267077
Abstract: A pneumatic paintball marker has, for example, a sleeve that controls the passage of air through the longitudinal barrel or opening within the marker. By sequentially filling separate chambers defined within the opening and the sleeve, the sleeve is able to translate axially through the opening in a sequential manner. When the sleeve is in a forward position, air is caused to be released through the barrel, propelling the paintball. A sear member engages the sleeve and prevents it from inadvertently moving to a forward position. Air filling the chambers returns the sleeve to the loading position.

  • Patent number: 8201545
Abstract: A paintball marker includes a housing having formed therein a cylindrical chamber with an axis and an open end, and a valve assembly within and coaxial with the chamber. The chamber wall has first and second openings. The valve assembly is configured so that, during one period of revolution about the axis, in a first portion the valve assembly closes the second opening while permitting entry of a ball into the chamber through the first opening, and in a second portion the valve assembly closes the first opening while permitting entry of compressed gas into the chamber through the second opening. The compressed gas entering the chamber during the second portion expels the ball through the open end of the chamber. Delivery of the ball to the housing, and delivery of compressed gas to expel the ball, requires only one moving part, namely the valve assembly revolving in the chamber.

  • Patent number: 8146580
Abstract: A structure for opening a grip cover of a toy gun includes a bottom cover assembly and a rear cover assembly. The bottom cover assembly has a bottom cover covering a bottom surface of the grip and a pivot penetrating the grip and the bottom cover. One end of the bottom cover adjacent to the pivot is formed with a first hook. The rear cover assembly has a rear cover covering a rear surface of the grip. The rear cover has a protrusion connected to the grip. One end of the rear cover away from the protrusion is formed with a second hook to be engaged with the first hook. With this structure, the first hook is separated from the second hook when the bottom cover rotates downwards, thereby driving the rear cover to open rearwards by using the protrusion as a center of rotation. In this way, by only opening the bottom cover, the user can open the rear cover assembly simultaneously, thereby exchanging a pressurized gas cylinder in the grip more rapidly.

This wireless communication, whether bidirectional or unidirectional, allows for the transmission of “load” commands and various other useful information between the paintball marker and the paintball feeding device. When the “load” command, which is much more responsive than the “passive” communication found in the prior art, is wirelessly received by the paintball feeding device, the paintball feeding device loads a singular or plurality of paintballs into the paintball marker of appropriate conduit.
