  • Patent number: 8100120
Abstract: A bullet feed portion reciprocates and is positioned in a firing position where a bullet housing chamber is opposed to a bullet feed port, and in a non-firing position where the bullet feed port is closed. A gas flow path guides compressed gas to the bullet feed port in an inner barrel. A valve is biased to close the gas flow path. A firing action mechanism has a movable body that can be freely reciprocated along the inner barrel. The firing action mechanism moves the bullet feed portion to a firing position and moves the valve to a non-biasing direction. A power transmission unit transforms motor force into the locomotion of a movable body. When trigger is pulled, the motor moves the movable body toward the bullet feed port to feed a bullet into the bullet feed portion, and actuate the firing action mechanism.

  • Patent number: 8011355
Abstract: A cartridge-based air gun that fires a BB bullet or a resin bullet inside a cartridge using compressed gas, includes an engaging structure of an extractor that enables blowback and the automatic ejection of the cartridge. An extractor, which engages with a rim that is formed at the rear end of a cartridge loaded in a chamber, is pivotally provided on a side portion of a cylinder so as to be rotatable. A claw portion formed at the tip of the extractor engages with the rim of the cartridge by the urging force of a spring provided between the extractor and the cylinder. A slide moves rearward while the cartridge is held inside the chamber. As the cylinder moves rearward with the stopping of the supply of compressed gas from a gas reservoir, the cartridge comes into contact with an ejector, is released from the engagement by the extractor, and is ejected from the chamber.

Abstract: A paintball marker has an inline cylinder that includes a gas governor that reduces gas flow from a compressed gas source to a valve area when the bolt is in a firing position. This bolt operates independent of the valve pin, which increases cycle speed and enables the governor to open and close at an optimum time in the firing cycle. Further, when the bolt/piston is recocking, the gap between the valve pin and governor valve pin enables low pressure gas driving the piston to start pressurizing the cylinder and driving the piston rearwards without resistance from the high pressure gas. The marker also allows a user to remove the inline cylinder without the use of tools, and gives the user a convenient carrying handle for holding the paintball marker, which is commonly called a “snatch grip.

  • Publication number: 20100031944
Abstract: The structure of air guns with a conventional blowback mechanism was complicated because they had a hammer, sear, trigger bar, bullet supply nozzle, bullet supply nozzle link, etc. These members operated every time when a bullet was shot resulting in the members being readily worn, with failure often occurring as well as problems with durability. In order to solve these problems, the valve body has a valve body air chamber sealed to contain the compressed gas supplied from the compressed gas source, and has a discharge valve which can move in a longitudinal direction. The discharge valve has a valve through hole that passes completely from the muzzle to the gun rear end direction, and a gas supply port that can open and close the valve body air chamber and valve through hole by the movement of the discharge valve in the longitudinal direction. Retreat of the inner barrel opens the gas supply port of the discharge valve to shoot a bullet and perform blowback.

  • Patent number: 7640926
Abstract: A pneumatic assembly for a paintball gun preferably includes a bolt slidable between an open and a closed position. The bolt preferably provides a firing mechanism for the paintball gun by permitting compressed gas to flow through the bolt to fire the paintball gun when the bolt is closed but preventing the transfer of compressed gas through the bolt when the bolt is open. This can be accomplished, for instance, by arranging a sealing member in communication with a surface of the bolt. A port is also preferably arranged through a lateral sidewall of the bolt at a predetermined location. The bolt preferably slides in relation to the sealing member such that when the bolt is open, the sealing member prevents compressed gas from flowing into the forward end of the bolt, but when the bolt is closed, compressed gas is permitted to flow into the forward end of the bolt to launch a paintball. The bolt is preferably controlled by using a control valve such as a three-way solenoid valve to operate a pneumatic piston.
