A runner is movably mounted to the shaft and a plurality of stretchers are pivotally connected between the ribs and the runner. A top stop button and a lower stop button are respectively connected to the shaft. The ribs and the shaft are made of composite material and a reinforcement metal layer is coated on each of the ribs and the shaft.

Abstract: A sunshade comprises a main post, a joint rotatably mounted to an upper end of the main post, and a canopy frame pivotally mounted to the joint. The canopy frame can be pivoted relative to the joint to a desired tilt angle. In addition, a rotating device is used to turn the joint for proceeding with 360° rotational adjustment of the canopy frame relative to the ground for optimal shield.

Thereby, the lamp strings can have various lightening modes by selection and controlling with the switch, and effects of illumination and decoration can be obtained. By virtue that the electric lines are provided in the shaft, they do not affect the activity of the runner. Besides, the lamp-controlling switch can do remote control with a remote controller.

In the preferred embodiment, the canopy may be comprised of eight, sixteen, or twenty-four panels. The vent top may be comprised of multiple panels as well. Each of the individual panels of the canopy may have a different color, so that canopies with various patterns are provided. The individual panels of the vent top may be provided in the same manner. In the preferred embodiment, both the canopy and the vent top also comprise a border, which may also be provided with a different color. Thus, by varying the color combinations of the panels of the canopy, the panels of the vent top, and the borders around the canopy and vent top, umbrellas with different patterns are possible.

The connector prongs are spring-loaded relative to the connector body within the channel and, when released, the prongs are urged through corresponding lock holes to retain the umbrella in a desired position relative to the umbrella base. When the spring-loaded prongs are compressed, the connector may be slid within the channel longitudinally or rotatably relative to the longitudinal axis of the channel. In this manner, the umbrella may be adjusted longitudinally and rotatably to a chosen orientation and held securely in place in that chosen orientation. The umbrella base is formed integral with or attachable to a framed chair such as a beach chair.
