Abstract: A method for manufacturing a solar cell module for a vehicle sunroof is disclosed, in which a solar cell is cut into multiple pieces so that it can be closely adhered to a curved glasses of a sunroof which is generally installed at an intermediate portion of a vehicle roof so as to provide a driver with an air circulation effect in the interior of a vehicle and a fresh driving feeling with its open environment. A solar cell module for a sunroof is manufactured based on a high temperature and vacuum compression work using a laminator as an EVA film adhering unit. So, it is possible to easily perform a laminating work for adhering a sunroof curved glass and a solar cell as compared to a conventional art in which it is not easy to perform the above work.

  • Patent number: 8011407
Abstract: A compression bonding device has a dam member so that when a pressing head is pressed against an object to be pressed, the bonding part is surrounded by the dam member. Thus, even if the surface of the bonding part bulges by pressing, the bulging part is stopped by the dam member and the surface of the bonding part does not horizontally extend. As a result of the absence of horizontal extension of the bonding part, electric components of the object to be pressed are not subjected to a force that horizontally moves the electric components and the electric components are vertically pressed downward and connected to the terminals of the substrate. Thus, an electric device having high connection reliability is obtained.

Abstract: An efficient lamination presses can rapidly provide both heating and cooling, as well as pressure to resin sheets to create a laminate end-product. Specifically, an efficient lamination press can comprise one or more components and apparatus that can apply uniform fluid pressure across one or more platens. The one or more platens, in turn, can flex about one or more contours in a layup assembly. For example, an exemplary platen can comprise a plurality of coupled platen extensions, which can flex or otherwise adjust about each other to help create flexibility in the platen, and thus, uniform pressure across a laminate assembly.

  • Patent number: 7931065
Abstract: In a printed circuit board manufacturing equipment, a pressing die includes a first pressing part, a second pressing part, and a frame part. A buffer member is disposed between a first surface of a laminated body and the first pressing part. The second pressing part has a portion facing a second surface of the laminated body and a portion facing the buffer member. The frame part surrounds a whole area of a side surface of the buffer member. Before pressing and heating, the laminated body, the second pressing part, and the buffer member define an escape space therebetween for escaping the buffer member deformed due to the pressing. A lip protrudes from the frame part toward the laminated body. The lip is deformed following the deformation of the buffer member and comes in contact with a surface of the second pressing part facing the buffer member.

  • Patent number: 7921893
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for joining of composites with thermoplastic surfaces. The process includes the location of the said components within a load bearing frame, and bringing the thermoplastic surfaces to be joined into contact. Pressure application devices, in the form of fluid filled bladders, are also located within the frame, and are located such that pressure is applied evenly to said thermoplastic surfaces. Where components have a high level of curve or twist, form blocks that have the approximate shape of the component surface are located between the frame and bladders. Pressure and heat are applied to the joint area, and heat removed while the joint area is maintained under some pressure. A feature of the present invention is the option of using opposing pressure application devices, reducing the need for substantial tooling in order to maintain component location accuracy.

Abstract: A press for laminating essentially plate-shaped work pieces under the effect of pressure and heat is provided, with a lower press half (2) and an upper press half (3) that can move relative to each other in order to open and to close the press. The lower press half (2) and the upper press half (3) form, through the use of peripheral, one-part or multi-part seals (12, 13), in the closed state, a vacuum chamber (14). A flexible membrane (11) divides the vacuum chamber (14) into a product space (16) that can be evacuated and that is provided for holding at least one work piece (1) and into a pressure space (17) that can be evacuated and/or pressurized. The membrane (11) is constructed and arranged so that it presses the work piece (1) directly or indirectly against a bottom side (2) of the vacuum chamber (14) due to a pressure difference generated through evacuation of the product space (16) and/or through pressurization of the pressure space (17) in the vacuum chamber (14).
