Abstract: A method for manufacturing a micromechanical sound transducer includes depositing successive layers of first and second membrane support material on a first main surface of a substrate arrangement with a first etching rate and a lower second etching rate, respectively. A layer of membrane material is then deposited. A cavity is created in the substrate arrangement from a side of the substrate arrangement opposite to the membrane support materials and the membrane material at least until the cavity extends to the layer of first membrane support material. The layers of first and second membrane support material are etched by applying an etching agent through the cavity in at least one first region located in an extension of the cavity also in a second region surrounding the first region. The etching creates a tapered surface on the layer of second membrane support material in the second region.

The working means includes a rotor and helical means for positively advancing the concentrate and resulting dry particles from inlet to outlet of the mixing apparatus. The dry particles may also be encapsulated in a matrix material. Entrained particles in the vapor stream from the evaporator and mixer are removed in an integral particle separator and the vapor is subsequently condensed and may be recycled upstream of the thin-film evaporator.

  • Patent number: 4241043
Abstract: The invention relates to a multiple phase flow tube for evaporating and reacting components in compound mixtures in which a spiral pipe is arranged within a multiple phase flow pipe. The components are propelled by means of an internally flowing gas stream in an annular shaped passage formed by a spiral tube and a second tube arranged as a core of the spiral tube. The second tube contains a heat exchange medium. The spiral tube is arranged within a cylindrical casing which contains a heat exchange medium. A gaseous stream of a reduced amount is then sufficient for carrying out the particular chemical process desired.

  • Patent number: 4217176
Abstract: A vapor compression distiller has a vertically oriented cylindrical tank and a heat exchanger having a plurality of groups of heat exchange tubes disposed one above the other. Internal baffling channels vapor through the groups of heat exchange tubes in a serial relation commencing with the vertically lowest group. Feed liquid is distributed from the upper end of the vessel downwardly over the surfaces of the tubes. This causes the evaporation of a first portion of the feed liquid and a condensation of the vapor. The evaporated and unevaporated portions of the feed liquid pass downwardly past the heat exchange tubes with the unevaporated portion collecting in a liquor well at the lower end of the vessel and the vapor passes upwardly along the sides of the vessel heat exchanger and outwardly to a compressor, the outlet of which is connected to the vapor inlet of the system.
