Hinge Patents (Class 16/50)
  • Patent number: 11828100
Abstract: A hinge device for the controlled rotary opening and closing movement of a closing element anchored to a stationary support structure includes a fixed element and a movable element rotatable between a first open position and a closed position. The movable element includes an end portion, a working chamber, a shaft inserted therein, and a stem slidingly inserted into the shaft. A pin connects the end portion, the shaft, and the stem. The working chamber includes a working fluid for the hydraulic damping of the mutual movement of the fixed and movable elements and an elastic damping element causing the stem to abut thereagainst only when the stem is in an end-stop position, so that a user moving the closing element feels the resistance of the elastic damping element only upon reaching the first open position.

  • Patent number: 8567011
Abstract: The present invention relates to an actuator (1), comprising an output member (6); a resilient element (8) connected to said output member (6) so as to urge it in a first direction; and an hydraulic rotation damper (5) with a closed cylinder cavity, a rotational damper shaft which extends into the cylinder cavity, and a piston dividing the cylinder cavity into a first side and a second side. Within the rotation damper (5), the rotational movement of the damper shaft is converted into a translational movement of the piston along a longitudinal axis of the shaft. A restricted fluid passage communicates said first and second sides. The damper shaft is connected over a gearing (10, 15, 17) to the output member (6) and resilient element (8) of the actuator for damping movement of said output member (6) in said first direction. The present invention relates to both rotational and linear actuators as well as to a closing mechanisms for hinged members, such as doors, gates, or windows, comprising such actuators.

  • Patent number: 8516657
Abstract: A hinge device prevents breakage of a structuring part from an increase in an internal pressure during overload. In the hinge device, first and second members are rotatable relative to each other. A case is fixed to either the first or second member, and a shaft body capable of rotating relative to the case is fixed to the other. A first chamber and a second chamber formed between the case and the shaft body are filled with viscous fluid. An orifice between the first and second chambers narrows a flow path for the viscous fluid moving from the first to second chamber, resisting rotation of the shaft body. A space region is provided in the shaft body, with a valve body movably placed therein. When pressure of the first chamber reaches a predetermined level, the valve body moves in the space region to increase the volume of the first chamber.
