  • Patent number: 8477505
Abstract: The present invention provides a peripheral device with limited relative angular movement. The peripheral device is configured for detachable operative interconnection with a computing device and comprises a first portion, a second portion, and an operatively connected peripheral device component. The first portion includes a first hinge portion, which defines an axis of rotation, and comprises a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The first protrusion is disposed axially separated at a predetermined distance from the second protrusion. The second portion includes a second hinge portion, which is operatively interconnected with the first hinge portion to allow the first portion and the second portion to rotate relative to one another about the axis of rotation between a first angle and a second angle. The peripheral device component provides one or more peripheral device functions. The first angle and the second angle at least in part are defined by the first protrusion and the second protrusion.

Abstract: An improved hinge structure is disclosed. The improved hinge structure comprises two fixed bases, a linkage structure, a pushing member, and a buffering damper. The buffering damper is located on the fixed base, wherein the buffering damper has a friction-resistant soft structure acting as a prop for the support of one end of the linkage structure, whereby the collapse caused by the force generated from the pushing member between furniture or components of the hinge can be avoided, therefore noises and damages caused by the collapse can be indirectly overcame while in use.

A separated type hinge apparatus comprises: an elastic casing; a first elastic member that provides a restoring force; a clutch device which is combined with one end of the first elastic member and controls the elastic force of the first elastic member to remain constant; a shaft penetratively combined through the clutch device in order to transmit a rotational force; and a spring fixing member which is coupled to the other end end of the first elastic member and has a gear groove to control a spring elastic force.

Abstract: A hinge for vehicle doors includes: a first part fixable to a vehicle door and including an essentially vertical pin; a second part fixable to a frame of the vehicle and including an essentially cylindrical and vertical first cavity that houses the vertical pin; and a retaining device that retains infinite angular positions between the first and second parts. The retaining device includes: a sleeve surrounding the pin in the first cavity and an engagement member arranged between the pin and the sleeve. The engagement member couples the sleeve to the pin in any angular rest position of the hinge and automatically decouples the sleeve from the pin during relative rotation between the first and second parts. An interruption of the relative rotation between the first and second parts causes the engagement member to automatically couple the sleeve to the pin.

Abstract: An automatic door shutter includes a stationary plate and a pressing plate pivotally combined together and with a resilient body located therebetween. Additionally, a pivot of the stationary plate has a sliding notch accepting an S-shaped resilient sheet abutting the pressing plate. By attaching the stationary plate and the sliding base to a door frame and a door respectively, the resilient body pushes the pressing plate to shut the door automatically. When the door is pushing to fully open, the pressing plate pivots to the stationary plate, and the S-shaped resilient sheet slides in the sliding recess and is compressed to deform to become U-shape. Until the door is fully open, the resilient sheet which is U-shaped causes an outward pushing force to the pressing plate to keep the door open constantly.
