Abstract: A component interface assembly for attaching the individual subcomponents of an RTA furniture system. Each component interface assembly having an elongated alignment slot cut into one of the subcomponents of the RTA furniture kit and a retention element affixed to a second corresponding subcomponent such that the first and second subcomponents can be secured together by inserting the retention element into the alignment slot. The alignment slot is positioned on the first subcomponent such that positioning the retention element for insertion into the slot aligns the second subcomponent with the first subcomponent providing tool-less alignment and engagement of the subcomponents. The assembled components may have cutouts on confronting planar surfaces of the respective first and second subcomponents providing enhanced storage for shipping the RTA furniture components.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for custom fitting an article of footwear is disclosed. A container holding the article of footwear includes a steaming assembly that allows a customer to subject the article of footwear to steam. The method can include cooling the article of footwear on the customer's foot to custom fit the article of footwear.

Abstract: A kit comprising the items needed to build an emergency shelter in the flexible-form rammed earth style, and a method of packing the items for shipment. The kit, designed for easy shipment to persons requiring emergency shelter, also includes the items needed to add a waterproof exterior layer to the outside of the shelter, along with items to construct a canvas awning, a water catchment system, lockable doors and lockable window shutters, and a composting toilet. The kit also includes mosquito netting to cover the doorway and windows of the shelter.

Abstract: A pouch, designed to be attached, either directly or indirectly, to a container, is provided with two end portions, each of which is formed with an elongated slit. When the pouch is directly attached atop a container, the end portions are pulled over the lid and catch a rim portion of the container. When the pouch is placed upon a lid covered container, the end portions of the pouch can catch or engage the lid. In accordance with an aspect of the invention, a pair of spaced slits extends from each elongated slit, thereby creating a tab or flap in each end portion. The flap is configured to either directly catch a rim of the container or be tucked under the lid, i.e., between the lid and the container, to attach the pouch to the lid and, indirectly, the container.

Abstract: A knife block system is described which in one embodiment includes a block unit having a magnetic core, a plurality of knives secured to the magnetic core of the block unit, a foot supporting the block unit, and at least one chopping board protruding from a surface of the block unit and removable from the block unit for use, the chopping board configured to fit into a chopping board back support attached to the block unit for storage when not in use, the chopping board having a female module formed therein. The system includes a knife sharpener unit removably attachable to the foot for use, the knife sharpener unit having a product logo on a surface thereof that is sized to mate with the female module on the chopping board to secure the knife sharpener unit to the chopping board as both items are in use.

Abstract: Advanced ultrasonic welding components of co-pending application 12/925,652 are readily incorporated into new form-fill-seal machines, but owners of existing machines utilizing heat-seal stations were unsuccessful at swapping the sealing packages, Retrofit kits to a replace heat sealing station with an advanced ultrasonic sonotrode and anvil comprise: a housing; a linear rail fixed thereto; first and second bearing carriages being slidable upon the rail; and first and second fluidic muscles. Each of the fluidic muscles is mounted with a first end fixed to a respective housing wall, and a second end fixed to a respective bearing carriage, permitting actuation of each carriage through pressurization and depressurization of the muscles. The advanced anvil and sonotrode may be secured to respective carriages.

Methods of making such fabric are also disclosed, as are garments and other articles made from such fabrics, and methods for their use.

Abstract: A uniformly premixed sealant is extruded into a packaging form and allowed to pressure equilibrate prior to freezing. Upon warming the sealant begins to cure. The storage of the preformed sealant formulation under cold conditions arrests the activity of cure catalysts and accelerators mixed therethrough. The sealant is readily extruded into a preform shape containing a lightweight filler. A release film is provided to avoid contact with the sealant preformed in a shape during application to a substrate.

Abstract: A dance shoe dons an accessory that provides a visual indication of the foot position of a dancer. The accessory includes an ornamental device that is releasably attachable to the side wall of the dance shoe using magnetic attraction. A method for instructing dance students comprises the step of providing the accessory on a dance shoe worn by the dance student. Instructions are called out for the dance student to show the ornamental device in accordance with a dance position. The position of the ornamental device, and thus the position of the dance student's feet, is observed. The dance student is instructed to adjust the dance student's feet if improperly positioned, as indicated by the ornamental device. A kit comprises packaging, an accessory including magnetically responsive elements and magnets within the packaging, and instructions for attaching the accessory to dance shoes.

The aperture ventilation assembly includes a planar wall aperture array and a corresponding planar shutter aperture array, wherein the sliding relationship between the two arrays results in a plurality of ventilation levels, including a fully open state, and a closed state capable of substantially sealing off the contents of the container from the ambient atmosphere. Certain preferred embodiments include a plurality of storage compartments configured within the container's inner volume wherein each compartment is sealed from one another and possesses its own aperture ventilation assembly for ventilation adjustments.

Abstract: An animal toenail grip designed and configured to provide an animal with traction on slippery and/or hard surfaces. The toenail grip includes a tubular member removably securable via frictional interference to the nail of the animal. The tubular member is constructed of a flexible, returnably-resilient material having superior non-slip or gripping characteristics. The toenail grip enhances proprioception in animals having certain neurological deficits and yields long term improvement in gait and stance on hard-surface flooring.

A first one of the walls is opposite the opening and is configured as a support surface to support a portion of a first housing of the device and also has a first recess therein configured to receive a portion of at least a first end of a band of the device. A second one of the walls defines an edge of the opening that is configured to extend along a center support of the band with the optical element of the device being positioned between the second one of the walls and the support surface when the device is received in the cavity. Abstract: A process for making a detergent water-soluble pouch having a plurality of compartments the process comprising the steps of: e) making a first web of open or closed pouches in a first pouch making unit having a forming surface; f) making a second web of open or closed pouches in a second pouch making unit having a forming surface; g) combining the first and second webs of pouches wherein the forming surfaces bring the web of pouches into contact and preferably exert pressure on them to seal the webs; and h) cutting the resulting web of pouches to produce individual pouches having a plurality of compartments.

Abstract: Zero VOC thermosetting gel coat and laminating resin compositions, and composites and articles, are produced using a multifunctional Michael acceptor, a multifunctional Michael donor and a base catalyst. The obtained low viscosity resin is useful for producing zero VOC gel coats and laminates having excellent curability at ambient temperatures.

Abstract: A hydrogen peroxide delivery system for a sterilizer having a hydrogen peroxide injection unit and a housing is disclosed. The system includes a cradle for supporting a hydrogen peroxide solution container, a drainage arrangement for aspirating the hydrogen peroxide solution from the container, and a delivery arrangement for supplying the aspirated hydrogen peroxide solution to the hydrogen peroxide injection unit. The drainage arrangement includes a needle for penetrating a seal on the container and extending into the hydrogen peroxide solution in the container. A needle drive moves the needle from an at rest position, wherein the needle is retracted to allow insertion of a new hydrogen peroxide container into the cradle, to a penetrating position wherein the needle penetrates the seal of the container and extends all the way to the bottom of the container to ensure complete drainage of the hydrogen peroxide solution from the container.

The portfolio that includes various storage mechanism, holders and tools that can be used for managing a patient's medications. The portfolio is a two-sided brief-case like device that can be secured in a closed position, or opened to gain access to the interior of the portfolio. The backing can comprise a tab in order for a portion of the backing to be removed from the protective film. Additionally, the protective film can have anti-microbial properties on an exposed surface.

Abstract: Described herein is a method for non-invasive detection and treatment of intra-cranial aneurysms. Antibodies are provided to specifically react/bind with antigens of the cerebral aneurism wall. The antibodies may be bound to a label and/or to a therapeutic agent for diagnosis and/or for treatment purposes thereof. Intra-cranial aneurysms are thus non-invasively detected before rupture occurs and are specifically treated.

According to another aspect of the present invention, a kit includes a container and a first tabbed note assembly. The container includes at least a first compartment, and the first tabbed note assembly includes a first tabbed note and a first fastener. The first tabbed note has a first opening defined therein, and the first fastener is at least partially disposed in the first opening. The first tabbed note is positioned, or otherwise contained, at least partially in the first compartment. In one embodiment, the kit includes a divider that is inserted at least partially in the container such that the first compartment and a second compartment are defined at least partially by the divider.

Methods for providing manufacturer coupons for dissemination to a target consumer group also are provided for. Preferred embodiments of the novel methods comprise packaging a cigarette lighter for retail distribution. The lighter is packaged with a removable coupon sheet. The coupon sheet provides a substrate on which said manufacturer coupon is imprinted and is removable by a consumer. The manufacturer coupon is redeemable by a consumer and includes machine readable code associated therewith to facilitate automated processing of the coupon.

Abstract: A toy package assembly is disclosed. The package assembly configures a product and a light source within a blister pack, where the product is illuminated by a light source. The blister pack contains at least one tapered surface that configures the product within the blister pack to maximize the amount of light from the light source that illuminates the product. The product contains a color changing portion that reacts to the light from the light source by changing color. In one embodiment, the product is a toy vehicle, and in another embodiment, the product is a doll.

Abstract: A drink caddy has an assembled mode and a deployed mode and includes a lower bucket, a sealed beverage held within the lower bucket, a liner having a liner upper edge and a liner lower edge, a lid connected to the liner upper edge and a lid handle disposed on the lid. The liner is held to the lower bucket at a liner lower edge. The liner separates from the bucket when a user deploys the product in a deployed mode. An intermediate separator can be fitted inside the liner and a pair of glassware retained on the intermediate separator. The sealed beverage can be a bottle of alcoholic beverage. The lower bucket is preferably made of a clear transparent plastic to allow viewing of the bottle.

Abstract: A bedding article is compressed and rolled from two side edges to form a rolled bedding article having two rolled portions. The rolled bedding article is fitted into a rectangular prism-shaped container. The container depth is smaller than the container width or height. The depth extends in a depth dimension that is perpendicular to the roll axes of the rolled portions. Multiple containers that contain such rolled bedding articles are placed on a retail-store merchandise shelf. The shelf has a shelf depth that extends in the depth dimension. A first container is disposed on the shelf in front of the second container. The combined depth of the aligned containers is made to be approximately the same as the shelf depth in order to reduce the amount of wasted shelf space in the retail store.

Abstract: An acetyl xylan esterase variant having perhydrolytic activity is provided for producing peroxycarboxylic acids from carboxylic acid esters and a source of peroxygen. More specifically, a Thermotoga maritima acetyl xylan esterase gene was modified using error-prone PCR and site-directed mutagenesis to create an enzyme catalyst characterized by an increase in specific activity. The variant acetyl xylan esterase may be used to produce peroxycarboxylic acids suitable for use in a variety of applications such as cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, bleaching, wood pulp processing, and paper pulp processing applications.

Abstract: My present invention is an apparatus that offers perfume testers the convenience of having both a neutralizing coffee bean pouch and detachable fragrance testing strips in one disposable unit. People will no longer be forced to be exposed to other people's germs by sharing coffee bean bowls in order to clear their olfactory palate when testing several scents in succession. This invention serves the dual purposes of providing for nose clearing and perfume smelling in one easy-to-use combination coffee bean pouch and fragrance strip apparatus.
