Abstract: Specialized tool storage boxes may be produced by defining an inventory of tools to be stored in the box. The tools may be positioned in proposed desired locations. Shadows of the tools in their respective desired locations may be produced. Image of the shadows may be produced on an insert for the tool storage box. The insert may be placed in the box so that the tools can be replaced in the desired locations after being removed from the box.

Abstract: Packages for housing products and methods of using same are provided. The packages may be used to store consumable products and may be customized, contemporary packages that provide easy handling of the packages and increased purchase interest and marketability amongst consumers. In a general embodiment, the packages of the present disclosure include a body defining an interior for housing a consumable product. The body includes a bottom surface having a centrally-located, vertical axis that is substantially perpendicular to the bottom surface, a front surface that is substantially convex with respect to the vertical axis, and a back surface that is opposed to the front surface and is substantially concave with respect to the vertical axis.

Abstract: The present application is directed to container and shrink label systems. The container may comprise multiple label locking features that hold a shrink label in place on a conically-shaped container. Abstract: Embodiments include a lamp and collapsing lampshade packaging, shipping and display device. The device includes a shell, with a hood, central trunk and bottom receptacle, and which further includes a graphic depiction of the collapsible lampshade on a display panel which may be deployed when the device is used for display purposes, thus making it appear that the collapsible lampshade is assembled and mounted on the displayed lamp. The panel may be permanently affixed in a fold-out manner to the top of the device or alternatively it may be separable from it. In the case of a permanent panel, a releasable holding secures the panel close to the shell during storage or transit. For a separable panel, releasable fixing allows panel deployment on the face of the hood for viewing. The device may store more than one lamp and the panel may include renderings of more than one lampshade.

Abstract: Techniques or processes for providing markings on products are disclosed. In one embodiment, the products have housings and the markings are to be provided on sub-surfaces of the housings. For example, a housing for a particular product can include an outer housing surface and the markings can be provided on a sub-surface the outer housing surface yet still be visible from the outside of the housing. Since the markings are beneath the surface of the housing, the markings are durable.

Abstract: A container including one or more labeling devices that can be detached from the container. Preferably the container can hold a plurality of different articles and includes a plurality of labeling devices for identifying the different articles. After the articles are removed from the container, the articles may be identified by the labeling devices by detaching the labeling devices and attaching or placing the labeling device on or near its corresponding article. Preferred labeling devices include one or more labeling areas that provide information regarding an article.

Abstract: An IV bag/line safety device including a tag set and a bag attacher removably connected to the tag set. The tag set includes a plurality of tags printed with the name of an IV solution. The bag attacher is configured to attach the safety device to an IV bag containing the IV solution printed on the tags. After attachment, the safety device provides visual cues to a user inviting the user to disconnect the tags from the safety device. After disconnecting one or more of the tags, the user may attach those tags to an IV tubing line connected to the IV bag through which the IV solution contained in the IV bag flows from the IV bag into a patient. This enables the user to quickly identify a given IV tubing line having at least one tag attached thereto as containing a particular IV solution.

Abstract: The plastic bottle (1) is filled with liquid and provided with a neck (4) that defines a narrow opening (5) with an inner diameter typically inferior to 40 mm. A flexible sheet-like cover member (C), having a lower closing element (C1) and an upper label element (C2), is provided to seal the opening. A first portion (10) that defines a first surface of the label element is directly fastened to a central portion (6) of the closing element in contact with the upper face of the neck and reinforces this central portion. A second portion (L), which is entirely offset relative to the upper face of the neck, defines a second surface of the label element. The ratio between the second surface (S2) and the first surface (S1) is at least 1:2, and preferably at least 1:1. The second portion (L) extends above the shoulder 3 of the bottle.

Abstract: Disposable plastic bags are provided that include multiple internal compartments and methods for making such bags. In one embodiment, a disposable plastic bag includes substantially transparent outer panels attached together to define a main compartment, an opening for accessing the main compartment, a main closure for selectively opening and closing the opening into the main compartment; and a plurality of internal panels attached to one of the outer panels to define a plurality of internal compartments separate from and accessible through the main compartment, the internal panels comprising closures for selectively opening and closing the respective internal compartments.

Abstract: RFID tags are affixed to vials used to store samples, such as biological samples stored in liquid nitrogen dewars or mechanical freezers. In one set of embodiments, an RFID tag is inserted into a recess at the bottom of a vial and held in place by an insert that engages with vial structure. In another set of embodiments, the RFID tag is retained in the recess by directly engaging with the vial structure and without using a separate insert. Mechanisms for keeping the insert and/or tag in place include tabs that gouge into the vial material, clips that allow the insert/tag to be inserted, but not removed, and holes in the side wall of the vial recess that receive tabs extending from the insert/tag. Tag-insertion techniques enable tags to be affixed to vials either before or after insertion of the sample, thereby enabling retrofitting of existing sample-storing vials with tags.

Abstract: A synthetic bacon board does not wick and may be printed on both the inside of the package, with direct food contact, and on the outside of the package. The synthetic bacon board is lighter than conventional bacon boards, reducing freight costs, and is recyclable (#5 recyclable polypropylene, for example). Since it does not wick, the synthetic bacon board may be more appealing to the consumer. Moreover, consumer messages, such as coupons with optional varying background colors, may be printed on the inside of the packaging.

Abstract: A hot melt adhesive system includes a melting unit configured to liquefy a bulk form of hot melt adhesive and deliver the liquefied hot melt adhesive to an application location. The melting unit includes a controller for establishing and/or verifying at least one system condition, such as temperatures associated with system operation. A machine reading unit is coupled with the controller and is capable of receiving information from a machine readable element and communicating the information to the controller for use in establishing and/or verifying the system condition. A method of operating the system includes scanning information on at least one system condition into the controller from a machine readable element, and using the scanned information during operation of the melting unit.

Abstract: The present application provides a unique process of canning a controlled substance where the cans are hermetically sealed and clearly identified in a number of different ways. The process will begin by inserting a packing and dehumidifying agent, preferably a formed rice cake. The controlled substance is then inserted. In some cases the rice cakes will be eliminated or just a single rice cake will be used on the top or the bottom. If the process of storing the controlled substance in an inert atmosphere is desired, the oxygen in the container is replaced with gaseous nitrogen. After the container has been sealed in the conventional pop-top canning procedure; an identifying scent substance is permanently adhered to the can or label. An internal or external microchip could be used to detect, track and trace the container filled with a controlled substance.

Abstract: A system embodiment includes a container base having an identifier of one container type encoded according to one scheme and a container lid including the identifier of the container type encoded according to the scheme. A method implementation of assembling containers includes selecting a container base from a plurality of container bases and establishing a type of the container base by recognizing an identifier encoded on the base according to a scheme. Then, selecting from a plurality of container lids, a container lid having an encoded identifier matching the identifier on the container base and engaging the selected container lid with the selected container base. An app implementation accepts a choice of container category, receives input of an identifier for the container, accepts input of contents and location of the container, generates a current date or receives an input date, associates and stores the category, identifier, contents, date and location.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing multiple transaction cards in a single package are disclosed. According to one aspect, a carrier package arrangement includes a holder and a plurality of transaction cards. The transaction cards are retained on the holder, and are arranged to be transitioned form an unactivated state to an activated state using a first activation code. The carrier package arrangement can also include a case that can contain the holder and the plurality of transaction cards.

Abstract: A publication and product delivery package is disclosed which permits product samples to be packaged and displayed along the binding (or “spine”) of a publication, such as a magazine, or an object of similar size, and delivered to a purchaser of that publication utilizing standard delivery services, such as the United States Postal Service, even when such products may be otherwise loose, liquid, or fragile, and despite the stresses and impacts of such packaging, display, and delivery. In a novel marketing method, the publication package allows a product distributor to include additional attractive marketing text and images alongside product sample containers, and coordinated with similar text and images impressed on the delivered product sample containers, to achieve high-impact and memorable promotion with little delivery costs over the cost of delivering the publication alone.

Abstract: A decorative band which is designed to surround the periphery of food packaging includes a lateral annular wail which extends between a base and an upper face. The band extends longitudinally between two ends and has first and second longitudinal edges. The band includes at least one first longitudinal portion having a maximum width and at least one second portion having a minimum width, the minimum width being at most equal to two thirds of the maximum width. A packaging which is equipped with one such band, a method of cutting the band, and a method of producing the packaging are also disclosed.

The label includes an outer web including polymer film, paper, or a combination thereof and an inner web of polymer. A tear strip is defined in the inner web by one or more weakened portion, score lines, or cuts in the inner web. The rear face of the label is adhesively bonded to the base side wall and to the lid skirt to form a seal between the base and the lid. The tear strip is positioned between a portion of the label adhesive bonded to the base side wall and a portion of the label adhesively bonded to the lid skirt. The tear strip can be used to open the container.

Abstract: The present invention provides a process for incorporating a wireless device into a plastic container as part of the steps of manufacturing the container. The plastic container can be a flexible plastic bag and are formed of one or more sheets, generally two or more sheets of plastic film or a rigid plastic container such as a tub or tote. The bags are formed by sealing together adjacent edge portions of each film layer. One embodiment of the present invention is to incorporate a wireless device between the edge portions of the film(s) before or during sealing so that the wireless device becomes permanently sealed into the film material but is isolated from both the bag interior and the outside environment. Another embodiment is to incorporate the wireless device onto or into a plastic component that is sealed to the container, such as a nipple or port, so that the wireless device becomes permanently sealed to the container but is isolated from both the container interior and the outside environment.

The instructions include directions to apply the antimicrobial composition to an automotive surface.

The second panel is foldably connected to a first edge of the first panel and movable between a folded configuration in which the second panel covers the front face of the compressible body and an unfolded configuration in which the front face of the compressible body is uncovered and an inside face of the second panel is exposed. The sheet does not cover the top face and the bottom face of the compressible body.
