Abstract: Aspects of the invention include a sleeve or wrap for protecting a container. In certain embodiments, the sleeve or wrap is a protective encasement for protecting a container, such as a bottle. In certain embodiments, the sleeve or wrap includes a body with a lumen, wherein the body is configured for holding and/or containing the container. For instance, in one embodiment, the protective sleeve includes a tubular body and at least a first opening in the protective body that is adapted for receiving the container. In certain embodiments, the body of the sleeve includes silicone. Accordingly, in certain embodiments, the sleeve is a protective silicone sleeve that is adapted to hold and/or contain a container, thereby protecting the container from damage (e.g., breaking). Also provided is a system for protecting a container that includes a protective sleeve, as described above, and a container that is configured for being associated, e.g., fit within, the protective sleeve.

Abstract: A flexible sidewall of a package has an inner surface that directly interfaces with product that is contained within an enclosed volume of the package. A sealed closure of the sidewall contains a material that forms a mark on the package, the mark being visible from an outer surface of the package. A production line can form a plurality of the packages, in sequence, after the mark is formed on the sidewall of each package. An outer package of a packaged product can contain a quantity of product and the aforementioned package, such that the outer surface of the package interfaces with the quantity of product. The material forming the mark on the package, being contained within the sealed closure thereof, is not exposed to the product that is contained therein, nor to the quantity of product contained in the outer package.

Abstract: The present invention relates to packaged orally consumable film dosage units for delivery of actives into the oral cavity. In particular, the packaged pharmaceutical product contains a complexate including a complexing agent and an active, an orally consumable film for delivery of the complexate and a package for containing the orally consumable film. The package includes indicia associated therewith. The indicia identifies the complexate as the active ingredient contained in the film, which is as a regulatory approvable chemical entity. The present invention also relates to methods of labeling, pricing, marketing and satisfying governmental regulations for such packaged pharmaceutical products.

Abstract: The reusable packaging box includes a bottom unit that has a receiving space in which a product may be received, a lower body and an upper body that are provided to each have a box shape with open top and bottom to be coupled to a top of the bottom unit, and a lid that has a receiving space in which the product may be received and is coupled to the top of the upper body. Each of the bottom unit, the upper body and the lower body, and the lid is formed of a material that may absorb an impact and thus may perform both a function of absorbing an impact and a function of packaging an outside of the product.

Abstract: A stored-value container has a body and a stored-value chip mounted on the body. The stored-value chip stores payment information for transaction deduction after being read by an external device. When using the stored-value container to buy beverage, instead of paying with cash or a stored-value card, a consumer can hand the stored-value container to a store clerk to finish payment directly through the stored-value chip. Accordingly, with the stored-value container, consumers can finish the purchasing procedure quickly without carrying cash or a stored-value card and also take environmental protection into account.

Abstract: A combination container for a consumer product consisting of a body providing a primary compartment for containing a primary product, the body having a sidewall, a secondary compartment forming a cavity recessed into the body, one or more secondary products disposed and stored within the cavity of the secondary compartment, a ledge around the cavity, a cover panel on the ledge, and a label over the cover panel.

Abstract: A two-piece package includes a container and a lid. The container includes a side wall, a bottom, an open end, an open end and a circumferential flange extending outward from the open end. The bottom, the sidewall, and the circumferential flange include a material having oxygen barrier properties. The lid includes a center portion and a rim portion including a body extending substantially perpendicular with respect to the center portion. The lid also includes a film attached to each of the center portion and the rim portion. The film is configured to seal to the circumferential flange. The film also includes a plurality of layers and at least one of the plurality of layers includes a material having oxygen barrier properties.

Abstract: A tag for tracking inventory levels and uses of an implant. The tag has a first component having a proximal portion and a distal portion and a second component having a proximal portion and distal portion. Additionally, the tag has an implant receiving cavity formed by the distal portion of the first component and the distal portion of the second component, in which the implant receiving cavity includes an encapsulating extension to substantially encapsulate an implant. Furthermore, the tag has a planar surface formed by the proximal portion of the first component and the proximal portion of the second component. The planar surface extending from the implant receiving cavity is substantially transverse to a longitudinal axis of the implant received within the implant receiving cavity. In addition, the tag has a tamper evident locking mechanism configured for locking the first component to the second component.

The wall assembly (24) includes a first wall (26A) that is selectively movable from a disassembled configuration to an assembled configuration. The first wall (26A) is disconnected from the base (20) when in the unassembled configuration, and is coupled to the base (20) when in the assembled configuration so that the first wall (26A) is in a substantially upright configuration. Additionally, the first wall (26A) has (i) a first substrate (30) including a plurality of first substrate edges, and (ii) a plurality of first ornamental features (32) that are individually affixed to the first substrate (30) while the first wall (26A) is in the disassembled configuration. Further, at least one of the first ornamental features (32) is positioned substantially adjacent to two of the first substrate edges while the first wall (26A) is in the disassembled configuration.

Abstract: A global tracking device includes a hardened case configured to be removably coupled to an object. The hardened case includes a barcode associated with information regarding the object. The data access element is configured to cause an external device to populate an interactive display application containing at least a portion of the information regarding to the object. The global tracking device can communicate with a central facility via a satellite communication.

Abstract: A package for accommodating, storing, displaying and transporting an article, such as, pharmaceutical products. The package has a receptacle mountable to a paperboard. The mountable receptacle has a clamshell for receiving, for example, one or more blister cards. The clamshell has a first portion having a first edge and a second portion having a second edge, which opposes the first edge. The mountable receptacle has an extension connected at least to the second edge through a breakable mechanism. The extension is attached to a surface of the paperboard, such that the clamshell can be detached from the paperboard by breaking the breakable mechanism.

Abstract: It is provided a container having at least in one part a textured surface (12), wherein the container (10) has an in-mold label (14) on the textured surface (12). An in-mold label (14) on a textured surface (12) dispenses with the need to provide a smooth area on an otherwise textured container (10) for attaching the label thereto. This facilitates the fabrication of containers (10) with textured surface (12). An in-mold label (14) on a textured surface (12) further provides a visually and/or haptically appealing labeling which provides a good durability on the surface.

Abstract: A blister package (10) and method for manufacturing the blister package include an upper wall member (14) (e.g., front panel), a lower wall member (16) (e.g., backer) and a printing (20) (e.g., print, decoration, advertising), where the upper wall member is formed to effectively hold an article (12) (e.g., toothbrush, razor) preferably by accommodating specific geometry of the article. The lower wall member is preferably formed (e.g., molded, thermoformed) after printing from a flat sheet of material (e.g., plastic) to resemble a cylindrical or cone based final shape linearly along or parallel to the lower wall member's longitudinal axis (46). The printing is applied to the flat sheet of material without distortion and appears on the final shaped lower wall member without the appearance of distortion.

Abstract: Arrangements are described for enabling a folded foil balloon to be supplied to a printer for enabling an image to be applied to a surface of the balloon. The balloon is first folded around a paper substrate, and a paper cover sheet is attached to the folded-over edge portions and tail portion of the balloon, so as to form a packaged balloon. The packaged balloon is formed with a tapered leading edge to facilitate insertion into a standard ink-jet printer. The packaged balloon may be in the form of a greetings card, with the fold of the card either along the left edge or the top edge of the card. The packaged balloon may be supplied with one or more light sources and/or power sources, either on the inside or outside of the balloon.

According to an embodiment, a flexible sheet structure may have a generally elongate shape defining a wrap. The wrap may have a first major surface and a second major surface, wherein the flexible sheet is thermally insulative. A pressure sensitive adhesive may be disposed on or comprise the first major surface, and visual indicia such as advertising or labeling may be disposed on or comprise the second major surface. Some embodiments may be applied to a beverage container after market; however, other embodiments can be applied to a container during manufacturing of the container and/or filling of the container.

Abstract: A container for use in a system and method for dispensing a beverage is provided. The system includes a liquid dispensing machine having a dispensing area capable of receiving a container, and a scanner adjacent to the dispensing area for use with the container. The container is capable of being placed in the dispensing area and includes barcode indicia extending around an exterior surface of the container. The scanner can read the barcode indicia when the container is placed in the dispensing area at any rotational orientation relative to the scanner.

Abstract: A portable organizer for medications containing pockets that are subdivided into compartments. Each compartment may be configured to store a single administration of medication, like a morning or evening set of medications. A pocket stores all medications to be taken in a day. Each pocket is closed using a closure like a zipper that allows a user to sequentially open two compartments in sequence. One embodiment of the organizer has enough pockets to store and organize an entire week's worth of medications, plus additional pills that can include vitamins and other supplements.

Abstract: A hollow plastic container having a closed lower supporting base, a sidewall extending upwardly from the closed base, and an upper portion having a dispensing opening therein extending upwardly from the sidewall. The container also includes a digitally printed base coat on the sidewall having a thickness of from 1 to 200 microns, and preferably includes printed areas over at least portions of the base coat to provide a distinctive appearance.

Abstract: A novel biodegradable label for use in connection with tubular biodegradable or compostable tubular bags for packing fresh produce. The label consists of paper printed with UV-cured or water based ink on one side of the label and biodegradable lamination on the other side of the label. The label is attached to the biodegradable bag by using heat of 175° C. from all of its four sides and the tubular bag is closed from its open ends by sealing the bag in between of two labels preferably by using heat.

The exterior surface of the container has a first signal color corresponding to the absorbent capacity, and each of the wrappers have a second signal color corresponding to the absorbent capacity, the second signal color being a same hue but a different intensity than the first signal color. In addition, at least a portion of the thickness of at least one of the absorbent articles can be viewed through the window.

Abstract: A safe packaging container includes a flat body, a membrane, an engagement protrusion and an engagement slot. A plurality of carrier units are provided on the flat body to carry items, such as cookies, candies, snacks, batteries, pills, etc. A folding line is provided on the flat body to allow the flat body to be folded. The membrane is attached to the surface of the flat body to seal the items carried in the carrier units. The engagement protrusion is provided on one end of the flat body. Another folding line is provided between the engagement protrusion and the flat body. When the flat body is folded along the folding line, the engagement protrusion may engage with the engagement slot. Prints, such as directions for product or safety, etc., may be provided on the surface of the membrane.

Abstract: A crown system includes a crown having a top surface and a bottom surface and a liner having a top surface that contacts a bottom surface of the crown. The liner is configured to absorb oxygen in a headspace and includes at least about 2.2 micromoles of sodium sulfite per cubic millimeter in a volume of the liner to a depth of about 0.003 millimeter from a bottom surface of the liner.

Abstract: The present invention provides a film of an oriented material which exhibits the property of expansion in at least one of its machine and transverse directions at a first temperature and of shrinkage at a second, higher, shrink onset temperature, the film having been annealed after orientation at a temperature above the first temperature and selected with reference to an intended recycling wash-off process to promote expansion of the film at the selected temperature of the wash-off process.

Abstract: A woven laminated plastic bag having an easy open feature is provided. The easy open feature is generally defined by a weakened portion in the bag. In various aspects the bag can be fabricated from woven polypropylene and/or polyethylene layer which can be laminated with a film layer, can form a pinch bottom bag, and can have one or both sides include graphics and/or printing. The bag can also provide a top end and/or a bottom end either or both of which provide a discrete area which may contain discrete graphics and/or printing.

A film material could be provided over a selected one of the front surface and the back surface of the ply material, covering the aperture. Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing more reliable wireless communication and power to sensors in electrically challenging bioprocess environments is disclosed. An unconnected antenna is located within the bioprocess environment, preferably in the same plane as the primary powered antenna. This unconnected antenna, also referred to as reflective antenna, enhances and confines the electromagnetic field created by the powered antenna. This reflective antenna is incorporated in or proximate to the devices containing a sensor or communication device. In one embodiment, the reflective antenna is incorporated into the filter housing. In another embodiment, it is incorporated into the filtering element itself. In another embodiment, it is incorporated into or affixed on the disposable bioprocess components, such as bags and tubes.

Abstract: A packaging system uses marked, specially designed packaging to enable confidential purchasing of consumer goods. Products having a first configuration normally labeled for sale are convertible into a second configuration which conceals the identity of the goods, other than perhaps having a confidentiality brand. The confidentiality package is bar-coded for price and purchase scanning but does not identify the type of good(s) being purchased either at the cash register or on the customer's receipt. The confidentially packaged items are primarily sold at a retail location immediately next to a normally marked, identical (except for the outer packaging shell) item, and have a brief description of what the item is directly under it (Tampons for example) located in the shelf strip next to the re-order shelf tag.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing more reliable wireless communication and power to sensors in electrically challenging bioprocess environments is disclosed. An unconnected antenna is located within the bioprocess environment, preferably in the same plane as the primary powered antenna. This unconnected antenna, also referred to as reflective antenna, enhances and confines the electromagnetic field created by the powered antenna. This reflective antenna is incorporated in or proximate to the devices containing a sensor or communication device. In one embodiment, the reflective antenna is incorporated into the filter housing. In another embodiment, it is incorporated into the filtering element itself. In another embodiment, it is incorporated into or affixed on the disposable bioprocess components, such as bags and tubes.

Abstract: A plastic container includes a medium applied to a portion of the container. A digital image is applied to a portion of the medium, the digital image being comprised of a plurality of ink droplets. Methods for digital printing on a portion of a medium that is applied to a container are also disclosed.

Abstract: Provided herein is a composition and a method for removing CHG from textiles. The composition is an acid-surfactant-based composition that may be used to remove CHG from a textile that has not been exposed to chlorine subsequent to being exposed to CHG.

Abstract: An environmentally efficient packaging/delivery system that is cost effective, carbon effective and readily recyclable while being very usable for dispensing pourable materials (primarily dairy and juice) is disclosed. The system leverages light-weight flexible refill pouches with re-sealable closures that are securely installed in re-usable carafes in the home. Single-use packaging is reduced since light-weight flexibles are used as distribution and retail packaging, and a durable carafe is used repeatedly in the home.

The retractable label is configured to extend out of and retract into the container. In some embodiments, the wan at least partially defines a container cap. Abstract: A system for providing a shipping label and a packing list on a container is provided which enables rapid and automated sequential application of a packing list and a shipping label to the container. The shipping label is configured complemental to the packing list whereby the packing list may first be adhered directly to the container and then the shipping label may be placed thereover. The shipping label may be applied over the packing list while the container moves continuously down a conveyor. The invention further includes an apparatus for sequentially applying the packing list and then the shipping label, and a method for applying the packing list and shipping label in registry.

Abstract: A body washing system provides an integrated single-use package co-locating a moist towelette and a dry towelette, the latter sized and design to permit drying of an individual after applying the moist towelette to his or her body in a washing process. The compact size and availability of the dry towelette substantially increases at the availability of bathing systems to individuals to whom conventional bathing or showering is inaccessible.

Abstract: A marketing device that can protect merchandise from damage, debris, and theft, conveys size information of the merchandise, reusable, and provides an aesthetically pleasing way for display in retail stores comprising a cap, enclosure, and extension in one embodiment, or can be used separately. The cap may further comprise bands, other catching devices, or the like. The enclosure may further include a cavity capable of storing a plurality of trailer hitch balls.

Abstract: The present invention provides pharmaceutical formulations comprising an antibody that specifically binds to angiopoietin 2 (Ang-2). The formulations may contain, in addition to an anti-Ang-2 antibody, at least one amino acid, at least one sugar, or at least one non-ionic surfactant. The pharmaceutical formulations of the present invention exhibit a substantial degree of antibody stability after storage for several months and after being subjected to thermal and other physical stress.

Abstract: A package includes a container having an opening, a bottom and at least one inner wall. The package further includes at least one outer wall formed from a two-dimensional pre-cut part having a removable wall section that is a removable card which discloses an information. The pre-cut part includes an access section that is formed at a peripheral edge of the pre-cut part so as to provide an open space adjacent to the removable wall section when the pre-cut part is connected to itself to form the outer wall of the package.

Abstract: A plurality of merchandise containers may include at least two adjacent sidewalls wherein at least two containers has a first predetermined image portion and a second predetermined image portion of a primary image. The sidewalls are disposed adjacent to each so that the first predetermined image portion and the second predetermined image portion collectively depict the primary image between at least two of the containers. The primary image may depict an article of manufacture. The primary image may depict a representative product to be retained or transported in the merchandise containers.
