Abstract: The invention relates to a modular infant carrier apparatus and method. In one embodiment, a sling comprising a tail portion and two arm portions supports an infant when rings at the ends of the tail portion and arm portions are brought together at a single point above the infant. The rings are held together by a clamp, and the clamp allows the sling to be attached to space-saving receivers including a wall-mounted hook, a ceiling-mounted hook, a door-mounted hook, a hook attached to a heavy item of furniture, a stand-mounted hook, an over-door hook, or an item of clothing worn by an adult. In one embodiment, the sling can be moved from one receiver to another using a single hand, without removing the infant from the sling. Other embodiments are described and shown.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a carrying harness for small children. The carrying harness comprises a fastening that is fastened to the fixed carrier as well as a front piece (23) that is fixed to the carrier by a number of separate clasps. The front piece comprises a fabric and a carrying strap system. The strap system included in the carrying harness absorbs the entire load of the carried child and is fastened to the fastening harness by means of releasable clasps (9, 33, 34). Included in the strap system is a back plate that is connected to a middle clasp (9) by means of a tightening strap (37) and seat strap (38).

The carrying harness comprises a fastening that is fastened to the fixed carrier as well as a front piece (23) that is fixed to the carrier by a number of separate clasps. When the strap is connected to the first connector, two positions result. A first position is one in which the strap extends through the second pair of openings. A second position is one in which the strap extends over a support structure. When the strap is connected to the second connector, the strap is located only in the second position.

The harness is designed to be worn by a person wishing to carry a child and the pouch is designed to receive a child that the person wishes to carry. The arrangement is such that, in use, the majority of the weight of the pouch and its contents are transferred via the frame to the hip belt and thus to the pelvic region of the person wearing the harness.

Abstract: A child restraint system (CRS) offers a safe, compact, configuration flexible, and easy to use restraint for a small child in a vehicle or aircraft. The child is secured in a five-point harness attached to a framework. The framework is in turn attached to latches secured to the vehicle or aircraft. The CRS may be configured in forward-facing or rearward-facing orientations depending on the size and age of the child. Further, the CRS harness may be equipped with a swaddle vest for securing especially young or small children that are too small for the standard five-point harness. Finally, the CRS harness may be attached to a headrest anchor that is situated between a seat and a corresponding headrest when no other suitable latches are available.

Once the extraction strap is connected to an extraction loop sewn onto the neck of a flack jacket. The casualty's upper body is lifted off the ground, and his weight is centered between the legs of the operator, reducing drag and allowing maximum lifting capacity from the back, legs and hips of the rescuer. The operator maintains proper posture and the “hands free” design allows the operator to back away from the threat while maintaining engagement with the enemy.

Abstract: A side seating infant carrier which is adapted to support an infant or young child on an adult wearer's hip and is provided with a retention strap arrangement which is specifically adapted to hold the infant or young child within a seat portion defined by the carrier. As a supplement to the retention strap, the carrier is also provided with a pair of leg straps which are extensible about respective ones of the infant's legs. The infant carrier of the present invention is further provided with a waist belt arrangement adapted to provide optimal support to the lower back/lumbar of the wearer, as well as an adjustable shoulder strap arrangement which is configured to promote enhanced comfort and sizing flexibility.

Abstract: A baby carrier comprising a shoulder harness featuring a detachable adjustable pouch system that may be worn or alternatively fastened to a secured object for supporting an infant. The shoulder harness features retractable shoulder straps that may be used to securely extend the detachable adjustable pouch system away from wearer without having to detach the pouch or remove the infant while simultaneously allowing the wearer face to face access with the infant. The detachable adjustable pouch system may encapsulate and support an infant in a substantially upright sitting position. The detachable adjustable pouch system may be adjusted to accommodate infants of varying sizes. The weight of the infant may be incorporated as a design component of the seat portion of the pouch system.

Abstract: The Hunters Smart Seat: A support devise that connects between two stationary objects via one-inch webbing circumjacent to said objects then looped through welded steel O-rings secured on each end of the seat, which may be placed at various heights, adjustable to the user's comfort through elevation of the weight carrying straps. The comfort design is directly related to the inclusion of a foam insert between two fiberglass rods fabricated into the seating portion, keeping the fabric elongated without affecting width. The essential structure of the seat is durable, lightweight and flexible. Portability is accommodated by a seat enclosure containing all paraphernalia, fabricated of the same material, connected to a person via external webbed belt loops.
