Abstract: A package having cardboard wall panels and a retractable pour spout (40) is fabricated from an integral cardboard blank with a respective pair of overlapping inner and outer wall panels (10 and 14) whereby the package is opened for content removal by extending said pour spout (40).

Abstract: A container with an integral pouring spout a method for manufacturing the same are provided, the container being manufactured from a planar blank by means of a manufacturing process which involves only a small number of very simple steps. The container has a pouring spout which is formed integrally with one of the walls of the container, and during the assembly of the container, portions of the spout are aligned with grooves in the opening for the spout, so that the components of the spout are guided, whereby the spout is opened and set up in a controlled manner. The spout is covered by an overlying layer of material and the region above the spout is perforated. The upper extreme of the perforated region extends above the top of the container to permit easy grasping and removal of the perforated region.

Abstract: A carton with integral pouring spout is provided. The carton includes first and second side wall panels, first and second end wall panels hingedly connected to the first and second side wall panels, and top and bottom closure panels attached to the side wall panels to form a tubular carton having a rectangular cross-section. The integral pouring spout is formed in one of the wall panels of the carton by cooperating interior and exterior pouring spout components. The spout is adapted for cartons having a narrow width or thickness by having a split exterior spout component including an automatic supplemental side wing. The invention encompasses a single-piece flat blank for forming the carton and spout, including a removable access tab located immediately adjacent the spout to prevent unwanted opening.

Abstract: A one-piece, collapsible, paperboard, dispensing carton having in one side wall adjacent an upper end of the carton an integral pour spout that can be pulled part way out of the carton for dispensing. The pour spout is formed from material of one of the carton side wall panels and has a slit and a projecting tab that are engageable with another carton panel to hold the pour spout in proper open position for dispensing and to prevent the pour spout from being accidentally pulled completely out of the carton.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a sealed hexahedral package made of a piece of paper material by folding and bonding, including a flap consisting of an outer layer extending from its top panel and an inner layer extending from its side panel, lapped and adhered to the side panel so that the outer layer is covering the inner layer, where a pour spout is opened; and a protuberance made of soft material adhered to the side panel to block and seal the pour spout so that after the flap is pulled upwards, the pour spout is exposed, and the protuberance remains adhered to the side panel.

Abstract: A folding pour spout, particularly, for detergent cartons. The spout is formed from a spout blank preferably comprising a single thin sheet of plastic. The spout blank includes a first spout-forming panel having a pull tab, a second spout-forming panel including notches and a panel for attachment to a carton. The reduced thickness of the spout blank facilitates manufacturing of the carton.

Abstract: A rectangular carton having a pouring spout which is formed from material coming out of a vertical edge of the carton, i.e. of material on each side of this edge and which hinges about a line extending diagonally upwards across an end face from the vertical edge.
