Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus designed to apply cleaning fluids to all types of surfaces and to apply those fluids to vertical, horizontal, angled, and overhead surfaces. The apparatus is designed so that it is able to glide easily over uneven or irregular surfaces. This is possible, in part, because the section of the washing apparatus that dispenses the cleaning fluid is kept in a spaced relationship to the surface being cleaned by the pressure of the cleaning fluid. The apparatus of the present invention includes a spraying unit, a support assembly and a bottom control unit. Abstract: A slurry dispenser dispensing slurry by a pair of counter-rotating wheels is provided in a chemical mechanical polishing process used in manufacturing integrated circuits. The slurry dispenser is driven by variable speed motors at a predetermined speed empirically determined to dispense a desired amount of slurry. The shape of the rotating wheels controls the vertical distribution of the spray. Openings in the housing of the slurry dispenser and the speed of rotation of the wheels controls the horizontal distribution of the spray. The slurry dispenser can be constructed out of materials chemically inert with respect to the slurry.

Abstract: Oscillating disk devices for drip irrigation systems, heap leach mining systems, industrial cleaning high pressure washer or emulsifying systems are provided. The devices include an upper body portion having an inlet defining an intake passageway and a lower body portion having a discharge outlet defining a discharge opening and passageway. A disk (or disk combined with a spring) is positioned in a chamber between the upper and lower body portions. During the oscillation cycle, the disk oscillates with great energy at a low to medium frequency. This mechanical oscillation may be used to flush out irrigation or heap leach mining drippers and lines, and to create shock waves or mechanical vibrations that can be used for industrial cleaning applications, increase efficiency of high pressure water and mix or emulsify solutions.

Abstract: A device for filling containers, particularly packaging containers such as cardboard packaging containers, on the packaging container, comprises a feed part and a closing part. To prevent the dripping of the substance distributed into the packaging container on the area around the fill opening the feed part is equipped with outlets which form an angle with the center axis of the feed part so that the upper ends of the outlets separate from each other. In the lower end of the feed part, the angle position of the outlets causes the liquid flows from different outlets to unit into one flow of liquid which, if necessary, can be fed into a container even through a small fill opening.

Abstract: The invention concerns a process for fitting a gas-injecting nozzle in the wall of an installation. The process is characterized in that an external supporting surface (11) whose shape matches the so-called internal supporting surface (12) of the passage (6) provided in the bedding brick is associated with the nozzle (2); the nozzle is placed opposite the passage (6) in the bedding brick: the nozzle (2) is moved in axial translation so as to adjust the position thereof along the longitudinal axis of the passage and move the front face of the nozzle into a desired initial position; the nozzle is locked in this desired initial position; and, at least periodically, the nozzle is inserted further forwards into the passage in the bedding brick in order to compensate the wear in the front face of the nozzle. The invention can be used to prevent clogging, such as in a cement producing plant.

  • Patent number: 6012645
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus having a pan-shaped housing used to clean horizontal surfaces, such as a floor, conveyor belt and the like. Mounted on the top of the housing is a spinner assembly having a tubular shaft rotatably mounted therein carrying tubular arms located within the housing. Cleaning fluid flows through the spinner assembly into the arms and is discharged through nozzles having orifices mounted on the ends of the arms. A bolt threaded into a connector attaching one of the nozzles to an arm is adjustable to regulate liquid flow rate through the connector to adjust the speed of rotation of the arms. A flexible skirt attached to the bottom of the housing has a lower edge spaced a short distance above the surface to concentrate and prevent dissipation of the cleaning fluid. A three position valve controls the flow of water and disinfectant liquid through the cleaning apparatus.
