  • Patent number: 11191373
Abstract: A mounting device is provided for hanging articles on a wall or other mounting surface. The disclosed mounting device includes a bracket having a raised center portion arranged between two side portions formed integral and contiguous with the raised center portion, and a fastener having a flattened head and a shaft extending therefrom. The raised center portion of the bracket includes a first pair of opposing sidewalls, and the flattened head of the fastener includes a second pair of opposing sidewalls. When the flattened head of the fastener is slidably engaged with the raised center portion of the bracket, each of the second pair of opposing sidewalls is arranged adjacent and parallel to a respective one of the first pair of opposing sidewalls. This prevents substantial rotational movement of the bracket around the fastener to ensure that the wall-mounted article remains at a desired location and orientation on the wall.

Abstract: A freight stacking support apparatus is disclosed for supporting oversized freight above a tailgate of a pickup truck. The apparatus comprises a support beam, a securing bracket with a locking mechanism, a triggering button for activating the locking mechanism, and a receiving bracket, where the brackets are affixed to opposing top rear edges of the side walls of a pickup truck and the ends of the support beam are received in slots in the opposing brackets such that the support beam resides parallel to and above the tailgate. When the apparatus is in position, it allows the user to safely transport freight without damaging the tailgate. In addition, it permits user access to the contents of the pickup truck bed through the pivotable tailgate without lifting or removing the supported freight.

  • Patent number: 5189758
Abstract: A flexible closure support system comprising two end brackets secured to walls with a rail therebetween and supported thereon. A plurality of carriers are carried by the rail and are freely movable the length of the rail. The carriers have button assemblies hooked to one end and roller assemblies hooked to the other end of a symmetric shank. The flexible closure is fastened to the carriers by buttons on the button assemblies; the roller assemblies slide and roll in a roller channel in the rail. Pivoting, pendulum locks attached to the end brackets limit upward movement of the rails when engaging the upper surface of the rail but can be rotated out of the way with the thumb to remove the rail. Optional, resilient accent strips can be pressed into a channel running the length of the rail.

  • Patent number: 5086540
Abstract: A support mechanism for room dividers is constructed to support room divider curtain rods, for example, to divide an aircraft cabin into several cabin sections. For this purpose a carrier crossbeam is formed of two beam elements hinged to each other in scissors fashion so that the beam elements can buckle downwardly when an interlocking device is released through an operating handle. The end of each beam element is formed as a wall engaging member, such as a T-shaped mounting foot. Each beam element has an extension, whereby a hinge plate is connected between the beam element and its extension. The operating handle which operates the interlocking device is arranged at the end of the extension. At least one locking device and operating handle units, preferably two such units, are used.

Abstract: A fastening member for a telescopic rod having an internal spring and intended to support a curtain on a pane frame or a door, said door is adapted to be mounted on an end portion of the telescopic rod. The member has a first flat portion extending towards the window and is provided at its end with a fixation area for the pane frame, a second flat portion extending from the first portion in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first portion having at its lower end a support area located below the fixation area when in use adapted to bear on the pane frame, and a third flat section extending from the second flat section upwards and in a direction parallel to the first flat section. The third section is sized so that, when the fastening member is in use, its upper end portion, adapted to fit on the rod end portion, is located at a level higher than the level of the fixation area of the first section. The third section is laterally located beyond the vertical pane edge.

The rod support structure is preferably slidably engageable to the surface and preferably includes a body having on a side at least one projection adapted to be received by a complementary depression in the surface so as to prevent movement of the rod support structure along the surface. Rod positioning structure on the opposite side of the body positions the rod structure between the rod support structure so as to prevent disengagement of the rod support structure from the surface while permitting sideways insertion of the rod structure. Locking structure for locking the rod structure to the rod support structure is also provided. The rod structure is preferably of a length substantially that between the respective rod support structure such that the rod support structure cannot be removed without first removing the rod structure.

  • Patent number: 4580753
Abstract: A support bracket for a venetian blind headrail which is in the form of an open sided box structure including a top (14), bottom (10) and a side (16) and/or rear wall (12) and a separate front wall (18, 20) which is pivotal about a vertical axis with respect to the top and bottom walls, and which includes top and bottom flanges (22). This pivoting is effected by a pivotal connection including a guide aperture (30) formed preferably in the top and bottom flanges, the aperture providing two guide surfaces (32, 34) angled with respect to one another, a hinge element (28) in the top and bottom walls engaging in each aperture, whereby the front wall can be pivoted between an open position and a closed position transverse to the open position. A latch (38, 40) is provided on the top and bottom flanges and on the top and bottom walls, the latch being spaced from the pivotal connection and prevents pivoting of the front wall away from the closed position.
