Abstract: A device for keeping lawn waste or other flexible refuse bags open while filling. The device is made of a resilient and flexible material so that it can be squeezed and easily inserted into the top opening of a refuse bag. The size of the device is proportional to the interior circumference of the opening of the bag so that the device expands when released securing itself within the opening of the bag. The shape of the device is that of a rectangular perimeter of a hyperbolic paraboloid or saddle, having segments that grip the interior corners of the bag when the device is released into position. Once the bag is filled with waste it can be squeezed again, allowing for the removal of the device from the bag and the preparing of the device for insertion into another bag.

Abstract: A holder for flexible wall containers or bags for holding collapsible wall container or bag open and thus facilitates the filling of the containers or bags. The holder is formed of easy dissembled parts that may be compacted, thus facilitating its storing or transportation. It is highly versatile since its internal cavity that accommodates the flexible wall container may be assembled in different sizes, allowing the convenience of using it with container or bags of different sizes. The holder is assembled by inserting two arms of a supporting unit into two rotating units of a second supporting unit. The length of the arms inserted in the rotating unit dictates the predetermined housing size of the holder.

Abstract: A refuse bag holder for holding refuse bags in an upright position comprising an adjustable support frame. The support frame has an upper rim, lower platform, and support columns which extend between and connect the upper rim and the lower platform. The support columns are adjustable telescopically to allow the height of the upper rim to be adjusted. The lower platform is connected to wheels on the back end of the platform, and support legs on the front end. A handle extends from the upper rim to allow the user to push or pull the bag holder. An auxiliary storage unit is connected to the upper rim to provide storage for additional refuse bags, or ties, or other useful items. The upper rim contains securing mechanisms for securing the bag in an open position within the upper rim.

Abstract: Collapsible containers and associated methods are disclosed herein. Certain aspects of the invention are directed toward a collapsible container assembly that includes a foldable support member that has a length and a width. The support member has a concave cross-section that causes the support member to resist bending until a threshold force is exceeded. The support member has a folded position and an extended position where the support member is unfolded. The assembly further includes at least one surface member carried by the support member. The assembly has a deployed position where the support member is in the extended position and the at least one surface member forms an enclosure with an interior. The assembly also has a collapsed position where the support member is in the folded position. The container assembly has less exterior volume in the collapsed position than in the deployed position.

Abstract: A plastic bag holder containing a coiled side wall and lip that creates a cavity for the insertion of items into the plastic bag. The side wall overlaps itself in a coiled pattern and its shape is maintained through a channel created by the lip. The coiled shape allows the device to be used with several sized bags allowing a user to easily fill a plastic bag cleanly and quickly.

Abstract: This invention is intended to be used for yard work such as bagging fallen leaves, trash or lawn and hedge clippings or construction waste or any other type of material gathering procedure which can use this device. This device can be used by janitorial cleaning help. Instead of dragging around a trash bin, they can simply mount a trash bag in the frame and walk around holding the handle of the frame and sweep trash directly into the bag. Using this invention allows the person gathering and bagging leaves and other lawn trash, to be able to set the fixture on the ground with a leaf bag attached. The fixture will hold the bag in place with the mouth held open even on a windy day. The person bagging the trash just have to rake the waste material up to the mouth of the bag and shove it in. This eliminates having to lift the waste in order to put it in a vertical container. This invention is the only device of its kind which affords such advantages.

The device comprises a funneled receiver, channel, stakes, and optionally four legs. The receiver is a scoop-like device having semi-frusto-conical cross-sections. The channel is a non-funneled extension of the receiver, having trapezoidal cross-sections. If a bag is used, the device facilitates filling the bag and it also holds open the bag. The optional four legs also hold open the body of the bag and, by contributing to the stability of the device, they allow the device to be smaller and lighter than otherwise. The device is normally placed on the ground, and inserted into either the bag or the receptacle. Leaves, grass clippings and other debris are raked or otherwise projected through the front of the receiver. The front of the receiver has a turned-over lip that facilitates filling the bag and that also acts as a handle.

Abstract: A method of retaining a lawn waste bag in an open position for includes providing a yard waste bag having a bottom wall and a perimeter wall attached to and extending upwardly from the bottom wall. The perimeter wall has an upper edge defining an opening into an interior of the yard waste bag. A frame is provided as well as a plurality of legs each having has a top end and a bottom end. Each of the legs is pivotally coupled to the frame by one of the couplers. The yard waste bag is opened and the legs are extended into the yard waste bag and to abut the bottom ends against the bottom wall to retain the yard waste bag in an open configuration.

Abstract: A method for filling a dispensing bag includes inserting a collapsed bag within the chamber of a bin, the chamber being bounded by a floor and an upstanding sidewall. A first port formed on the collapsed bag is securely fixed within a port hole formed on the floor of the bin. A hoist mounted on the bin is manipulated so that the hoist raises an upper end of the collapsed bag within the chamber while the first port remains fixed within the port hole so as to expand the collapsed bag within the chamber of the bin.

Abstract: A gardener's waste can includes a frusto-conical container having a flexible sidewall, a closed bottom end and an open top end defining a circular rim. An arcuate hinge is formed in the sidewall of the container. The hinge has opposite ends respectively intersecting the rim of the container and is arranged such that, when the sidewall of the container is laid against the ground, a hinged portion of the sidewall connected to the hinge and disposed between the two ends thereof swings inwardly into the container and lies generally flat against the ground so that leaves, cuttings on the ground are easily swept over the flat portion of the container sidewall and into the container.

Abstract: A highly portable sand bag hopper has the shape of a cabinet with the front open. The flat, solid top of the cabinet has a loading opening for loading sand into a lower cone. A horizontal sliding door located near the lower, smaller tapered end of the cone opens and closes the lower discharge opening by pulling a spring-loaded lever arm. The upper part of the cone is loaded with sand at a predetermined level to discharge discreet amounts of sand. A seal may be located around the lower opening to sweep sand or debris from the top of the discharge door.

Abstract: A rack for holding inverted plastic storage bags includes at least one tine with head bar member for bag rest. Head bar members may include ribs to properly hold and allow for cleaning of the bags. Shielding walls may form a case around the tines and thus protect the bags mounted therein. Walls may include apertures to allow for some flow of direct cleaning solution to bags present in the case. Base member supports tines and may include apertures or convex shape to allow for proper flow of fluids. The invention also includes a method for sanitizing bags in a conventional dishwashing machine by shielding the bags from too much direct heat transfer.

It can be used in a number of horizontal or vertical positions varying between in an open or a closed position. The closed position being best suited for storage or transport with an attached bag. Further, the construction of the leaf catcher enables easy set up and take down when manipulating the panels from a folded to a operational configuration and vice versa.

The invention may be used with an attached gripping unit and/or an attached container.
