Adjustable Patents (Class 251/285)
  • Patent number: 7337805
Abstract: An adjustable mechanism for a valve or actuator is provided. The adjustable mechanism cooperates with one or more pistons, which in turn cooperates with a valve element to limit the axial displacement of the valve element relative to the valve seat. The adjustable mechanism can be adjusted axially, thereby providing a greater or lesser distance for the piston and diaphragm to travel. Embodiments incorporating the adjustable mechanism include a trickle valve, an on/off valve and a mixing valve. The adjustable mechanism also provides to the adjustment of the piston stroke to match or closely mirror the stroke of the vale element.

  • Patent number: 7090190
Abstract: There is disclosed a flow control valve which regulates a flow rate by determining a stop position of a piston by contact in an opened state, and which enables remote and high-precision flow rate regulation. In a closed state, an urging force of a return spring acts on a piston, bringing a diaphragm into close contact with a valve seat. In this state, when compressed air is supplied into a pilot chamber, moving the piston, the diaphragm is brought out of contact with the valve seat. Then, the piston comes into contact with a nut and the diaphragm is stopped providing a fixed clearance between the diaphragm and the valve seat. An opened state is established. Of course, the nut can be moved to any desired position by means of a serve motor or the like, so that a position at which the piston comes into contact with the nut can be changed.

  • Tap
    Patent number: 6783112
Abstract: The tap intended for controlling the flow of a fluid, for example of a gas, comprises a tap body (34), an inner member (36) for opening and closing the passage of the gases, an outer rotary operating handwheel (42), a connector member (40) connecting the operating handwheel (42) to the closing member (36) and a stop mechanism limiting the movement of the operating handwheel (42) and of the opening and closing member (36) in the opening direction of the tap. In order to avoid the tap becoming jammed in the open position, the stop mechanism that limits the movement of the operating member comprises of an abutment (44) and a counterabutment (46) with frontal contact, which are arranged respectively on a rotary element and on the body (34) of the tap, or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 6779742
Abstract: In contrast to the conventional air brush, an air brush in the invention has a function in which even a beginner can easily perform an operation for pulling an operating rod little by little while the operating rod is slightly pushed and pulled at an initial stage of the drawing of a line requiring a technique and an experience. The operating rod arranged in an air brush main body forms a slanting face therein projected on the front face of this operating rod while the slanting face is inclined from below to above, and this slanting face abuts on the front side edge of a notch port of the air brush main body. An air valve is opened every small amount and a needle is simultaneously retreated every small amount in a range in which the slanting face of the operating rod and the front side edge of the notch port come in contact with each other and are slid at the initial stage of an operation for pushing and moving the operating rod.

Abstract: A valve which intended to control the flow of a fluid, for example a gas, comprises a valve body (50), an internal member for opening and shutting-off the passage of the gases, an operating handwheel (56) connected to the opening and shut-off member, and means limiting movement of the operating handwheel (56) and of the opening and shut-off member in the direction of opening of the valve. To avoid the valve jamming in the open position, said means limiting the movement of the operating member includes a stop (60) and of a mating stop (62), with frontal contact, arranged respectively on a rotary element and on the body of the valve (50) or vice versa. To ensure optimum contact between the stop (60) and the mating stop (62), the latter forms part of an element the angular position of which can be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 6695278
Abstract: A proportional flow control valve, for controlling fluid flow through a flexible tube, includes first and second jaws on opposing sides of the tube. An actuator drives one of such jaws for adjusting the separation distance therebetween. When the valve is open, the separation distance is small enough to partially deform the tube without significantly restricting fluid flow. When the valve is closed, the separation distance is just small enough to essentially block fluid flow. A control system controls the actuator to determine such separation distance. Such valve can be used within a level control system for controlling the thickness of a work material in a slurry form cast upon a moving belt. A fluid reservoir is disposed above the belt, and the control valve adds slurry to the reservoir. A lens disposed near the moving belt and above the reservoir is coupled by fiber optics to a remote sensor for detecting the height of the slurry.
