Shaped Material Extends Through Holes In Preform Patents (Class 264/273)
  • Patent number: 7416691
Abstract: According to the method, in a first step, an elastic shim element, of a part circular embodiment with a projection on the external side, is fixed around a throttle valve shaft. In a second step, a first insert and a second insert are introduced into the throttle valve support from both sides until each is in contact with the projection and between both and the relevant projection a cavity, surrounding the throttle valve shaft is formed. In a third step, a molten plastic is then introduced into the cavity through the first insert or the second insert, whereby the at least one elastic shim element is pressed with the projection thereof on the inner wall of the throttle valve support. After the plastic has hardened the first insert and the second insert are removed from the throttle valve support in a fourth step.

Abstract: Recently, at least some parts of exterior components of vehicles have been made of plastic as well by back-molding lacquer films with plastic. A large number of such exterior components require transparent areas which are produced separately and are inserted into die-cut zones of the component. Said method requires a lot of effort while joints are difficult to prevent. The aim of the invention therefore is to create a component that can be produced in a simpler manner and without creating gaps as well as an adequate method for the production thereof. Said aim is achieved by introducing a hole into the film for the transparent area, inserting said film into the component mold, and then back-molding the same with a transparent plastic material in the mold such that the hole is filled with the transparent plastic material.

Abstract: A tile, made for example of leather, having a first face, a second face, side edges and a plurality of holes that bring into communication first face with second face. In a lining made with such tiles like this, the holes lead the air from below to above the tiles. To improve further the air flow through the tile, on the second face a plurality of grooves are made that extend from a central zone up to the side edges of the tile. This way, an air path is formed between the lining and the floor leading the air to holes and then into the room at the side of first face. A favorable exchange rate through a floor lining made with them is obtained, combined with a heat exchanger embedded in the floor.

  • Patent number: 6758999
Abstract: A method of forming a magnetic body, alternative to a ferrite core, on a printed circuit board is provided. A printed circuit board is set in a mold and injection molding is conducted. The mold comprises a fixed plate, an intermediate plate and a movable plate. A cavity in the intermediate plate is filled with a melted material (i.e., mixture of resin and magnetic filler) supplied via a sprue and a runner. A cavity in the movable plate is also filled with the material supplied to the cavity in the intermediate plate through a hole in the printed circuit board. When a magnetic body for noise control is directly injection molded onto the printed circuit board in such a way, no gap appears between the magnetic body and the printed circuit board. As a result, the magnetic body functions well as desired.

  • Patent number: 6685864
Abstract: A housing member for an actuator assembly for adjusting the orientation of a mirror element in a mirror assembly provides integral weather seals and noise dampeners. The weather seals and noise dampeners are injection molded with or onto a base wall of the housing member to thereby form seals and dampeners that have superior adhesion or mechanical retention to the housing member and, therefore, are not subject to degradation from noise. In addition, the integral seals and dampeners reduce the time and cost of assembling and servicing the actuator assembly. The housing member includes a base wall, and a sidewall which connects to the base wall and extends around the perimeter of the base wall. The side wall includes connectors for securing the first housing to the second housing.
