  • Publication number: 20080054560
Abstract: A game of chance involves use of a pair of dice or other randomizing device to obtain a first number set, wherein a first wager immediately wins when the first number set from the dice/device adds up to one of the numbers in a selected Numbers Group or Wagering Zone. A winning wager, or portion of the winning wager, may be parlayed to a second tier wager to determine whether the next roll of the dice/device will produce a second number set that is the same as the first number set. The Wagering Zones may be incorporated/combined with traditional casino game layouts, for example, Craps, slot-machine, Blackjack, or Roulette types of layout. In many board or table embodiments, wagers, based on speculation of what will be the first number set and subsequent number sets, are placed directly on the playing surface, with second tier wagering zones provided to prevent confusion with others' “fresh” wagers on the subsequent rolls.

  • Patent number: 7334791
Abstract: An ostensibly solid electronic die presents visual and/or sound effects when in use. Unlike known electronic dice, the disclosed electronic die retains the weight, feel and ruggedness of conventional non-electronic dice. The die includes an outer shell defining its shape. Electronics for producing the effects are located inside the shell. The shell is preferably filled with potting material and sealed shut. The use of potting material is a unique aspect of the invention that represents a significant advance over known electronic dice. The potting material gives the inventive die added weight and safely encases the electronics. Using miniaturized electronics and batteries, the die can have physical dimensions and weight that are the same as or similar to a conventional hand-tossed gaming die.

  • Patent number: 7134660
Abstract: Crapless Craps, a game that has existed for more than 20 years, is a modification of standard craps designed to eliminate the possibility of the pass line bettor losing on the come-out roll. However, it has several serious drawbacks that have prevented it from achieving significant popularity with the gambling public. No-Crap Craps is a modification of Crapless Craps created to overcome these shortcomings. This aim is achieved by regarding every number except 7 as a point number, but with numbers 2 and 3 grouped together as 2-or-3, and numbers 11 and 12 grouped together as 11-or-12. When betting against the shooter, a seven-out after point 11-or-12 pays half. The result is that the house advantages of the pass line bet and the don't pass bet are exactly those of standard craps.

  • Patent number: 6974132
Abstract: A method and system for playing a dice game using a pair of dice. A primary player is first established at the beginning of the game. At least one wager is then made from each player establishing that one of a plurality of events will occur with the roll of the dice. The primary player then rolls the pair of dice. The wagers or bets are then resolved based on each roll of the dice. Wagers on at least one area of the game surface designated for wagers that the rolled dice will result in two specific identical numbers or doubles are paid out if the two specific identical numbers are rolled. The winner of this wager is then permitted to roll a single die if this winner also wagered on an area designated for a progressive bet. The progressive pot is paid to the winner if a single die results in a designated number. The game includes a playing surface for playing the game using a pair of dice and chips.

  • Patent number: 6932340
Abstract: A wagering game utilizing multiple dice is disclosed. In an electronic gaming machine embodiment, a player causes five dice to be rolled a first time. The player then selects which dice to hold and discard and re-roll. The discarded dice are re-rolled and a sum of the five dice determines a payout. Larger payouts are provided for small and large sums with moderate sums resulting in losing wagers. Outcomes of five of a kind trigger a bonus round. Bonus rounds are played in similar fashion to non-bonus rounds. A system of tiered bonus rounds facilitate jackpots, including progressive jackpots. In an alternative bonus round embodiment, players are able to select a level of risk/reward related to a winning outcome. The player may select levels corresponding to conservative, aggressive and high-risk. A live table game version of the game is also implementable.

  • Patent number: 6923442
Abstract: In a die which has a regular polyhedron form and which can be opened into a continuous polygonal form on a plane, boundary areas (Rb) between planes (11 through 16) on the inner side of the regular polyhedron have inclination angles determined according to the regular polyhedron. In addition, engaging portions (21a, 21b, 24a, 24b, 25a, 25b, 26a, 26b) not exceeding the respective boundary areas (Rb) are placed on the boundary areas (Rb) of predetermined planes (11 through 16). Such a die is formed by injecting plastic resin within a mold (31, 32) according to the form of the opened die. This realizes a three-dimensional die capable of being opened onto a two-dimensional plane, which has only been fictionally conceived, and further provides a manufacturing method thereof.

  • Patent number: 6893019
Abstract: A casino-type table betting game using one die of one color, or otherwise singularly marked, and two matching dice of another color, or otherwise marked as a pair. Players make wagers on the outcome of a single roll of the three dice. Wagers are made by placing bet markers on various areas of a game board that define bet types. One group of wagers is on the outcome of the singular die. A second group of wagers is on the pair of dice. A third group of wagers is on the total of all three dice. When the outcome of the singular die is a predetermined number (e.g., 1), the house wins all bets on the game board regardless of the outcome of the other two dice.
