Abstract: A folder for paper sheets comprising a carrier body (20) is provided, said folder consisting of a bottom (21), a back (22) optionally including a handling hole (36), and a cover (23), said parts being joined to each other by means of permanently foldable creases (26, 27). The bottom (21) is adapted to be provided with a line-up mechanism including U-clamps. At least those regions of bottom (21) and cover (23) which adjoin the back (22) have a greater width than the remaining areas of bottom and cover, so that equal-sized symmetrical lugs (28) are formed which are integral with the carrier body (20). Such a folder may selectively be set up either in upright position, in horizontal position or suspended in a suspension file system.
Abstract: A device for retaining a book, such as a telephone directory, in a holder or on a flat surface, in order to prevent unauthorized removal or theft of the book. A plurality of pin-like retainer members are mounted in a pair of mounting members in laterally spaced, parallel relation. The number of retainers is determined by the thickness of the book. The pointed ends of the pin-like retainer members are shifted into the ends of the book and the assembly is secured either to the flat surface or to a support bar that is riveted or otherwise secured to the inner surface of the back of the holder. The pin-like retainers are frictionally retained either in a series of laterally spaced slots or bores in the mounting members so as not to be removable therefrom without the use of a tool and a substantial amount of force.
Abstract: A mobile binding is provided comprising holding elements or S shaped clips and formed from two sheets of cardboard, or a similar semi rigid material, which extends over the whole length of the binding and which are bonded together, except at least in the end portions of the back, the inner sheet having an opening in which one of the end legs of the S shaped element may be engaged, the other end then being engaged in the middle of a review to be bound. The improvement consists in providing said holding elements with a notch on the inner face of their portion situated opposite said opening when they are in position in the binding; it also comprises a plate which may be engaged in said opening between said two sheets of the back and which is provided with an outwardly turned flange adapted for engagement in the notches of said elements.
Abstract: A large rectangular sheet is subdivided into successive sheets joined along common fold line edges to produce an accordian, folded book in which pairs of the smaller sheets form successive pages and the successive pages are joined side-by-side by the successive fold lines. A binder joins the rear fold line edges of the sheets together and a perforation line extending parallel to the upper and lower edges of each of the sheets provides a means by which the book can be torn in two. Instruction indecia are placed in the upper panels and the lower panels of each sheet are blank so that a child may illustrate the instructions on these blank panels.
Abstract: A sheet protector formed of upper and lower layers of substantially transparent plastic material. A pair of complementary tabs each laterally extending from the edges of the respective layers are integrally formed therewith. Heat sealing is utilized for securing together at least some of the peripheries of the layers as well as the matching tabs. An opening is provided to define in combination with the layers a receiving pocket whereby a sheet may be inserted in the pocket. A looseleaf type binder is provided for holding a plurality of the sheet protectors. The tab positions of the respective sheet protectors in the binder are sequentially indexed with respect to each other to provide a set of position selectable sheet protectors.
Abstract: Cover folders having binders that securely retain the cover and inserted sheets, without the use of external fasteners. The binder is an elongated bar with an interior channel for receiving and holding a folded cover. The bar includes within the channel slanted ribs which engage the folded edge of the cover sheet along an overlapping flap. The overlapping flap of the cover sheet may be made more rigid by heat treatment and/or by a reinforcing coating.
Abstract: A directory holder is disclosed. The holder includes a bed with a cover hinged to the bed. The bed and cover each have flanges which cooperate to form a case for the directory. The cover and bed are hinged together with plural pivoting clips and, in addition, a security bar is provided to prevent unwanted removal of the directory from the bed and cover.
Abstract: Apparatus for wall mounting a presentation board comprises a wall mounted support bracket, a hook shaped mounting member for detachably and pivotably engaging the support bracket, and an angled support member connecting the mounting member to the presentation board such that the board is supportable in an inclined position with respect to the mounting wall. Further apparatus is provided for mounting a bound presentation pad to the board in an orientation such that the unbound ends of a pad sheet are releasably retained against unintended displacement but successive sheets may be exposed by releasing covering sheets and allowing the released sheet to hang down from the bound ends.
Abstract: This device consists primarily of an upright backing member, called a backrest, having a perpendicular lip extending out from its base in a forward direction, and located at the inside bend of said perpendicular lip and backrest, is a spacer upon which an open book's weight is supported at its lower edges while its covers lean against said backrest.
Abstract: A clip is provided for use in the suspension filing of magazines, journals and like articles having sheets or pages held together in a spinal portion. The clip comprises a bifurcate part having two fingers engageable respectively inside and outside the spinal portion of a magazine to grip the spinal portion between them, and a hook part engageable over a side rail of a suspension filing system. By inserting a clip at each end of the spinal portion of a magazine and engaging the hooks over the two parallel rails of a suspension filing system, the magazine can be suspended with its spinal portion performing the function of the normal cross-bar in such a system.
Abstract: A clip including a body portion for positioning on the spine of a book and a tail portion positionable on the inner spine. A head portion is provided to extend laterally of the body portion and when placed over the inner corners of adjacent pages will hold them apart. The pages can be turned over with the clip retained on the spine and be received in a cavity between the tail portion and the head portion. The clip also provides a book page marker.
Abstract: A magazine binder has a fixed slot at its one edge for receiving and retaining a corresponding edge of a magazine at the center fold portion thereof. A finger projects outwardly from the opposite edge of the binder. This finger is foldable inwardly into a locking channel after the magazine has been placed in the binder, thereby to form a second slot which functions to retain the magazine at its other edge at its center fold portion.
Abstract: The retainer device is used for storage of multi-leafed devices such as magazines, pamphlets, notebooks and the like. Spaced apart brackets are provided either in a binder or secured to a stationary support surface. A plurality of spaced apart relatively long prongs extend from one bracket. A plurality of spaced apart shorter prongs extend from the other bracket. A multi-leafed device is stored in the retainer by first inserting the longer prongs into the center of the leaves until the opposite end of the device clears the shorter prongs. The device is then moved so that the shorter prongs are also inserted thereinto. The longer length of the first set of prongs permits this shifting action without disengaging the longer prongs.
