Bolt Blocking Or Disabling Means Patents (Class 292/169.14)
  • Patent number: 11286692
Abstract: A door lock disposed on a door leaf includes a casing, a bolt member, a latch member, an auxiliary latch member and a transmission unit. When the door lock is in an open state, the bolt member is retracted into the casing and held by the transmission unit. During a closing operation of the door leaf, the latch member and the auxiliary latch member are successively pushed into the casing to actuate the transmission unit, so that the transmission unit releases the bolt member when the door leaf is closed, and that the bolt member automatically projects out of the casing to lock the door leaf.

Abstract: A locking device includes an integrated circuit board specially shaped to fit the locking device and to bring a sensor on the circuit board adjacent to a moving lock component. The circuit board is preferably routed to form a convex shape that matches the locking device and provides printed circuit wiring to connect one or more sensors or other components to an external wiring harness, thereby reducing point-to-point wiring within the lock. Multiple different circuits may be provided on the same circuit board, which are automatically selected by the connectors used on different corresponding wiring harnesses and/or actuators. The design reduces assembly costs and allows rapid electrification of existing mechanical locking devices with minimal modification.

Abstract: A mortise lock includes a case. A locking slide forms a bore to receive a spring and a steel ball to allow the locking slide to be slidable with respect to the lock case to abut against and/or disengage from a locking latch. The mortise lock is operated by turning an inside knob to drive a deadbolt and a latch lever and the locking slide is moved inward to engage a lever hub assembly thereby ensuring a locked condition. The mortise lock cannot be unlocked by operating an outside lever. When an inside lever is depressed, the lever hub assembly is driven to cause the rocker arm to push away a hooking lever and a knob spindle assembly, thereby retracting the deadbolt and the latch bolt and simultaneously moving the locking slide outward to show an unlocked condition, whereby the mortise lock can be unlocked by operating the outside lever.

A striker is preferably mounted to the truck sidewall and a movable elongated latch arm is connected to the truck bed cover, such that the latch arm may be moved between engaged and released positions. A pivot arm having a blocking element is pivotally connected to the latch arm such that actuation of the latch arm to the released position causes the blocking element to interposedly obstruct re-engagement of the released latch member back to the striker. The blocking element operates to maintain the released position of the elongated latch arm until a time when a user may raise open the truck bed cover to an open position.

Abstract: A lock mechanism has a locked condition and an unlocked condition and includes a housing. The lock mechanism also includes a latch that extends from the housing and has an extended position and a retracted position. The lock further includes a biasing member for biasing the latch to the extended position. The lock mechanism further yet includes a means for transferring an operator input motion to move the latch to the retracted position in the unlocked condition. The means for transferring an operator input motion includes uncoupling the operator input motion from the latch in the locked condition. The means for transferring also includes a locking driver and a locker. The locking driver includes a first surface and a second surface and the locker includes a biasing member for biasing the locker toward at least one of the first and second surfaces.

Abstract: A mortise lock is provided including a housing for a latch bolt and a deadbolt which are mounted in the housing for movement between a retracted position where the latch bolt and deadbolt are inside the housing and an extended position where a portion of the latch bolt and deadbolt extend from the housing. A key-operated cylinder in the housing operates to move the deadbolt between the retracted and extended positions. A latch operator is also provided for retracting both the latch bolt and the deadbolt. A moveable blocking element in the housing prevents movement of the latch operator in one position of the blocking element. A locking lever operatively connects the deadbolt and the blocking element so that when the deadbolt is extended the blocking element is automatically moved to the position blocking the latch operator. The locking lever comprises an arm member integral with the locking lever.

  • Patent number: 6390515
Abstract: An anti-theft latch is proposed. The anti-theft latch has a movable stud having a driven means therein. A pin serves to connect the movable stud with the driven means. The driven means is pivotally installed with a static latch. A guide groove is formed on the static latch. The pin is matched with the guide groove. The guide groove of the static latch is formed with a buckling portion. When the movable stud is to be unlocked by an outer force, the pin will eject and buckle the buckling portion so that the static latch can not retract to the movable stud to achieve an effect of statically locking. An auxiliary spring is further installed for pushing the driven means to move forwards. Therefore, in a normal condition, the static latch will achieve an effect of statically locking. As a result, the thief has no possibility to unlock the movable stud to move inwards and therefore, a preferred anti-theft effect is achieved.
