  • Patent number: 4696398
Abstract: A free drop container for liquids and especially potable liquids such as water. The container includes a molded impact resistant shell having a generally spherical shape. A port in the shell defines a hole through the shell wall, with the hole having a first diameter extending from the exterior partially through the shell wall and a second smaller diameter extending through the rest of the shell wall to the interior thereof such that the two diameters define a seat in the shell wall. A screw-in cap is removably fitted to close the first diameter hole preferably by cooperative threading with the circumferential surface of the first diameter hole. A pour spout is sized to slidably fit the second diameter hole, and can extend out from the shell for pouring when the cap is removed. A plug is removably fitted in the pour spout, and a resilient impact-resistant lining is provided that does not crack or break on impact and covers the interior of the shell for contact with potable liquids inside the shell.

  • Patent number: 4656771
Abstract: A duck decoy or any other object (10) is made easy to pick up and carry, especially when being retrieved manually from cold water, by the present arrangement. An eyelet (12) is attached to its underside (or any other surface). A flexible line (16), such as a string, is passed through the eyelet. A weight or stop (20) is attached to one end of the line and a washer (18) or other annulus providing a loop is attached to the other end of the line. When the decoy is floating in water, the washer end of the line is at the eyelet and the weight extends down, away from the decoy. To retrieve the decoy from its floating position, it is manually grasped, lifted out of the water, and an elongated member (26) attached to a carrying handle (38) is passed through the washer.

  • Patent number: 4316694
Abstract: An unloader for removing hollow articles packed for shipment in nested layers is disclosed. The unloader includes retainer elements configured to engage interior surfaces of the hollow articles. Retentive forces arising from engagement of surfaces of the retainer elements with interior surfaces of the hollow articles as the retainer elements are inserted into the hollow articles are utilized to hold the articles on the retainer elements. Such forces can result from the deformation of elastic retaining elements as they are inserted into the article. A member or members associated with the unloader disengage the hollow articles from the unloader in a manner such that the hollow articles can be set down in an organized fashion. The embodiment disclosed is hand-manipulable.
