  • Patent number: 8169120
Abstract: A stator of an alternating current (AC) motor is disclosed. The stator includes a stator core having a divided structure including and an outer stator core fitted around the inner stator core while being connected to an inner circumference of the inner stator core. The inner stator core has a rotor insertion hole formed at the inner circumference of the inner stator core and a plurality of tooth members arranged in a circumferential direction at an outer circumference of the inner stator core. Since the coils are wound directly on the tooth members through intervals between the neighboring tooth members at the outer circumference of the inner stator core, manufacturing of the stator is facilitated. In addition, since insertion of the coils into the slots is not performed through gaps formed on an inner side of the inner stator core where the rotor insertion hole is formed, the gaps may be minimized. As a result, the performance of the AC motor is improved.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a stator bar in large dynamoelectric machines, with the bar insulation made of solid materials with high thermal conductivity and high dielectric strength. In the present invention, the bar insulation is provided by thermally conductive shells whose inner cavity conforms to the bar stock. The manufacturing process comprises slipping one or more thermally conductive shells at the substantially central straight portion of the bar stock, bending the ends of the bar stock to form end-arms, insulating the end-arms with tape or extrusion insulation and bonding all members to form a solid stator bar. In short, the bent end-arms are insulated by the tape or extrusion insulation while the straight portion of the bar is insulated by the thermally conductive shells. This greatly increases the effective thermal conductivity of the stator bar. The high dielectric strength of the materials significantly reduces the wall thickness of the bar insulation.

Abstract: A rotary electric machine having a stator whose dismantled structure can be reintegrated at reduced cost. The stator eliminates difficulties in separation and reuse at the time of disposal incident to use of molding such as resin molding. Also, it has no adverse environmental impacts. A plurality of stator cores having a plurality of magnetic poles arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction are laminated in the axial direction with use of a heat-shrinkable tube having an appropriate compression retention force. The outer circumferences of these stator cores are covered collectively with another heat-shrinkable tube. The heat-shrinkable tubes are heated so that the plurality of stator cores are integrated into a single-piece structure by the heat-shrunk tubes.
