Abstract: The present invention relates to the monitor having ribs for fixing a CRT comprising a CRT, a shield cover which is assembled enclosing said CRT from behind and a monitor case composed of at least two covers which enclose said CRT and said shield cover, and are joined one another by joining members, wherein the ribs for fixing the CRT are formed protruding from the inner surface of said monitor case in accordance with the shape and contours of the outer periphery of the CRT so that the CRT is fitted into the ribs and secured by joining force between said covers which are joined by said joining members. Since the CRT is fixed by the binding force between the covers comprising the monitor case and by said fixing ribs for the CRT, fixing lugs at each edges of the CRT are not necessary. Accordingly, there arises a merit that the size of the monitor can be reduced close to the actual screen size.

Abstract: In the case where the cabinet has many long segments, it takes a long period of time until they are cooled in a die. In addition, looseness was produced between the board and the guide rail due to a presence of pulling taper and this looseness became a cause of generating vibrating sound. There are constituted integral molded guide rails integrally molded with the casing to support the front end of the board when the board is stored in a casing along a predetermined wall surface, and a board holder constituted as a separate component from the integral molded guide rail, capable of sliding the board and inserting it. Accordingly, it is not necessary to oppositely face a long rail having the substantial same length as that of the board as the integral molded guide rail and so a speed in which the molded product is cooled in a die is made fast. Further, since the board holder is a separate component element, looseness between the board and the guide rail can be easily reduced.

Abstract: The PTV cabinetry of the present invention utilizes an integrally weighted base that enables the cabinet to satisfy load bearing and tip over standards without requiring the addition of separate weights. The base preferably includes a raised region and at least one lower region. Fill material is poured into the base, and substantially within the lower region, and allowed to set and harden. Abstract: The bosses 5 of a front cabinet are strengthened by the boss reinforcing rib 51, and the central part of the ceiling board 12 for the front cabinet 10 in the direction of the width is strengthened by the ceiling board reinforcing rib 61. The boss reinforcing rib 51 is formed with a high strength portion 52 of greater thickness, and a link portion 53 of the boss reinforcing rib 51 with the ceiling board 12 is molded in smaller thickness over the entire length than the high strength portion 52, thereby preventing the “sink” in molding from occurring. The strength of the boss reinforcing rib 51 itself is increased by making the boss reinforcing rib 51 gradually lower in height as being closer to the front end.

Abstract: There has been such a problem as gas pressure applied in a mold deforming screw holes for display-supporting bosses. A front section 10 of a cabinet is provided with a main channel 13a which takes a shortcut in front of display-supporting bosses 12 in boss-erected corner portions of a front plate and into which high-pressure gas is injected, subchannels 13c which pass under the display-supporting bosses 12, and choke channels 13b between the main channel 13a and the subchannels 13c to reduce the gas pressure. Therefore, screw holes 12a of the bosses 12 are not deformed by the high pressure of gas flowing through the subchannels 13c. Besides, recesses are made on both sides of a channel-forming zone in the boss-erected corner portions “C” of the front plate; therefore, the high-pressure gas is prevented from straying from the channel-forming zone.

Abstract: The present invention provides for an integrally weighted base suitable for attachment to a bottom surface of an enclosure to form an integrally weighted cabinet. The integrally weighted cabinet is able to satisfy load bearing and tip over standards without requiring the addition of separate weights. The base preferably includes a frame and fill material disposed within the frame. The frame may be metal or plastic. Fill material is poured into the frame and allowed to set. The fill material may be any suitable material having a density sufficient to act as a weight or counterbalance, such as, e.g., concrete, a concrete and fiber mixture, metal, or a concrete and metal mixture. The base may further include a plurality of openings to dissipate heat from within the interior space of the cabinet. In one implementation of the present invention, the base replaces a bottom panel of a typical PTV cabinet and further eliminates the need for attaching separate weights onto a bottom panel of a typical PTV cabinet.

  • Patent number: 6536855
Abstract: When a picture tube, in particular one having a flat picture screen, is fixed on a front cabinet, a gap otherwise occurring between peripheral portions of an opening and peripheral edges of the picture screen, is reduced by providing thin-wall portions having a thickness thinner than the other portions of the front wall between each of linear portions of ribs formed on peripheral portions of the opening and each of the outer wall surfaces surrounding the front wall. In this connection, when a worker fastens screws for fixing the picture tube to the front cabinet, the front wall is bent toward the flat picture screen in association with the movement of screw-retaining bosses toward screw mounting units making it possible to closely fit the ribs to the picture screen.
