  • Patent number: 6657524
Abstract: A circuit breaker includes a switching contact arrangement and a drive apparatus which operates it, with the connection between the switching contact arrangement and the drive apparatus being designed such that it is detachable. For this purpose, a contact support of the switching contact arrangement contains a coupling bolt, which produces a hinged connection to a lever arrangement for the drive apparatus. A holding piece allows a actuating shaft of the drive apparatus to be rotated to a position, and to be fixed in this position. This allows the switching contact arrangement to be removed without any problem, and subsequently to be replaced by another switching contact arrangement. Once the control panel for the circuit breaker has been removed, the holding piece can be placed on the actuating shaft and can be attached to a front housing body of the circuit breaker where the control panel would otherwise be located.

Abstract: An AC electromagnet for use in electric switchgear includes a fixed, U-shaped magnet core positioned symmetrically to a central plane and a movable armature that is guided during its translational stroke by guide devices. The armature is T-shaped and positioned symmetrically to the magnet core, and has a cross leg to close the magnetic circuit and a central leg, the central leg being oriented toward the central web of the magnet core. An air gap is formed between the free end of the central leg and the center of the central web transversally to the longitudinal axis of the central leg. Leg heads are formed on the lateral legs of the magnet core, enlarged with respect to the cross-section of the lateral legs. The internal profile formed by the magnet core and the enlarged leg heads has a square or rectangular design, into which the driving coil is insertable, and the driving coil fills the yoke profile almost completely.

Abstract: An electromagnetic contactor that is designed for error-free assembly. The housing includes a contactor carrier interference that fixes the orientation between the housing and contact carrier. Orientation between the contact carrier and the armature is fixed by an offset elliptical joint. Pole shader interferences fix the orientation between the coil cover subassembly, the armature and the magnet. Shoulders located on two of four base legs fix the orientation between the housing and the base. The base includes a rail spring, spring catches, upper and lower catches that allow the contactor to be mounted on a DIN rail without using tools.

  • Patent number: 6472963
Abstract: The utility model discloses an alternating current contactor, including a foundation-support and a pedestal. A yoke iron on which mounts a coil unit is set inside the said foundation-support, and an armature iron and a contact unit are set in the said pedestal. The characteristics are that one side of the said foundation-support is open, and the coil unit and the yoke iron are constituted into a whole via a supporting board and buffer springs, and then it is fixed on the convex face of pulling part of the said foundation-support. A baffle plate with openings is on the top of the foundation-support, and a repelling force spring is installed between the baffle plate on the top of the foundation support and the armature iron. The coil unit can be easily inserted into or pulled out from the opening of the foundation-support, so that either repairing or replacing the coil unit become rather convenient.
