  • Patent number: 6683249
Abstract: A transformer includes an end, and electrical insulator bushings are attached to and extend away from the end of the transformer. Conductors extend from the electrical insulator bushings. A cover has openings and an attachment end affixed to the transformer. The cover shields the end of the transformer and the electrical insulator bushings preventing animals from alighting on the end of the transformer and the electrical insulator bushings. The conductors each extend through one of the openings of the cover. The cover has an access panel movable between a closed position and an open position permitting access to the end of the transformer and the electrical insulator bushings without having to detach the attachment end of the cover from the transformer.

  • Patent number: 6680664
Abstract: A ferrite core structure and manufacturing method therefor comprise a ferrite core having gaps at both ends and located on fastening terminals, which are formed symmetrically, at both ends of the conductive bracket, and a pair of insulating seats being shaped at each end of the ferrite core column via the transfer molding technology, a conductive coil being wound on the portion of the ferrite core column which is not enclosed by the insulating seats while both ends of the coil is soldered. In this way, a coil type inductor element applied to a surface-mounted device (SMD) is got. According to the process of the present invention, not only the complicated process steps of commonly arts are simplified but also mass production is easier. Meanwhile, when the present invention is used, the configuration of space is more flexible.

  • Patent number: 6670879
Abstract: A transformer container comprising a transformer tank having a bottom, a front forward panel, two side panels, a rear panel and a top panel. The top panel forms a rim defining a portal for accessing to the interior of the transformer tank. The transformer tank is supported on a pad. A transformer sill is connected to and supported on the pad and is connected to the transformer tank adjacent the front panel. A transformer door is pivotally connected to the top panel of the transformer tank. The transformer door is supported on the transformer sill and may be locked thereto in a closed position. The transformer door, the pad and the transformer tank form an enclosure. The top panel of the transformer tank defines a plurality of holes. The front panel of the transformer tank is connected to the top panel of the transformer tank between the holes and the access portal, thus the holes communicate with the enclosure and not the interior of the transformer tank.
