  • Patent number: 10974882
Abstract: A container security system includes a container chassis and a closure subsystem coupled to the container chassis. The closure subsystem includes a closure chassis that prevents movement of a material between a container volume and an exterior of the container chassis via an aperture defined by the container chassis. The closure subsystem includes a closure security sensor that generates a closure sensor signal when the closure chassis experiences a tamper event. A first type communication interface is housed in the closure chassis and a security engine provided by the closure subsystem receives a sensor signal indicating that the closure chassis has experienced the tamper event. The security engine then provides, in response to receiving the sensor signal and using the first type communication interface, a notification to a corresponding first type communication interface that the closure chassis has experienced the tamper event.

  • Patent number: 10938841
Abstract: A guard sensor injects a multi-GHz (multi giga-bit) guard signal along a guard signal transmission path above an observable knee in the amplitude response of the path to define a guarded region and to detect physical or electromagnetic intrusions of that guarded region. At frequencies above the knee, the signal transmission path exhibits increasingly non-linear and even chaotic behavior that improves the overall sensitivity of the sensor and its ability to detect slight changes in the distributed transmission parameters that characterize circuit devices, signal paths and signals. The guarded region may be used to protect a combination of circuit devices, physical connections, interfaces, high and low frequency signal transmission paths and signals.

  • Patent number: 10816945
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for detecting stationary presence using IR sensor array. A number of IR images may be captured. Of the IR images captured by the IR sensor array certain pixels can be identified as causing false triggers. These pixels can be identified and filtered to be ignored. The non-filtered pixels of IR images may be averaged over various time intervals to calculate a number of average IR frames. The difference between these average IR frames provides a delta frame. A mask frame may be calculated as the summation of delta frames over time, and the value of the mask frame may be used to detect a stationary human presence even when no delta value is calculated. Alternatively, the mask frame may be used to calculate a background frame that represents the IR signature of stationary or cyclical objects within the scanned area that are not intended to trigger the presence detection system. A stationary presence may be determined by subtracting the background frame from a current average IR frame.

Abstract: A method includes identifying a first light source in a surveillance coverage area, wherein the first light source is an electronic light source. The method receives a schedule for one or more light source changes for the surveillance coverage area, wherein the one or more light source changes include activating and deactivating the first light source at a particular point in time. The method establishes a first shadow measurement utilizing the first light source and a camera at a first point in time. The method determines a second shadow measurement utilizing the first light source and the camera at a second point in time. Responsive to determining the second shadow measurement does not reach a similarity threshold with the first shadow measurement, the method sends a first notification to a user, wherein the first notification specifies a potential security breach.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and software for determining whether or not a monitored space is occupied by one or more humans and/or animals. In some embodiments, one or more radio-frequency (RF) receivers monitor(s) one or more RF frequencies for changes in received signal strength that may be due to changes in occupancy of the space being monitored. The received signal strength is analyzed using nonparametric online change-point detection analysis to determine change-points in the received signal(s). One or more statistical measures of the received signal(s), such as mean and variance, are used in conjunction with the change-point detection to determine a probability that the occupancy of the monitored space has changed. In some embodiments, additional sensors and/or machine learning can be used to enhance the performance of the disclosed occupancy-detection methodologies.
