  • Patent number: 10475412
Abstract: In a liquid crystal display (LCD) device having a touch panel function, power consumption is reduced in the standby state. The display section is divided into blocks each of which is formed of a plurality of display lines. The counter electrode is disposed for each block. A driving circuit selectively supplies, to the counter electrode of each block, the voltage used for the liquid crystal display and the voltage used for the touch panel scanning. The driving circuit has a source amplifier that supplies the video voltages to the video lines. The driving circuit reduces the current in the source amplifier, such that the current is lower than current at the time of a normal operation, to lower the power consumption, and stops the operation of the source amplifier and supplies the GND voltage to the video lines to further lower the power consumption.

When the second body is unfolded to an open position along the first axis, the first pivot structure drives the locking structure to go to an unlocked state, and the second body is adapted to rotate along the second axis. When the second body is folded or unfolded to other positions along the first axis, the first pivot structure drives the locking structure to go to a locked state, and the locking structure stops the second body rotating along the second axis.

Abstract: Embodiments herein include systems, methods and articles of manufacture for calibrating a camera. In one embodiment, a computing system may be coupled to a calibration apparatus and the camera to programmatically identify the intrinsic properties of the camera. The calibration apparatus includes a plurality of light sources which are controlled by the computer system. By selectively activating one or more of the light sources, the computer system identifies correspondences that relate the 3D position of the light sources to the 2D image captured by the camera. The computer system then calculates the intrinsics of the camera using the 3D to 2D correspondences. After the intrinsics are measured, cameras may be further calibrated to in order to identify 3D locations of objects within their field of view in a presentation area. Using passive markers in a presentation area, computing system may use an iterative process that estimates the actual pose of the camera.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for capturing and displaying stereoscopic images are described in a manner that allows a user to obtain a 3d virtual reality experience simulating that of being in a seat at a football game or other event. Rear images are modified, e.g., in luminance intensity, to make them consistent with the luminance intensity of the forward images to avoid or reduce edges or differences in luminance intensity as a users turns his head from viewing a main image area to a side or rear image area. A seamless 3D presentation is made possible through the use of fisheye lenses at capture time and combining of images corresponding to forward and rear image areas as a user turns his or her head requiring a change in the captured image area which is displayed to the user.
