  • Patent number: 9966030
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device according to the present disclosure includes a timing controller, a power supply unit, a data supply unit, and a liquid crystal display panel. The timing controller analyzes image data to sense a target pattern, and generates an operating signal in a case where the target pattern is sensed. The power supply unit generates first to fourth gamma voltages in a case where the operating signal is not received. The power supply unit generates first to fourth modulation voltages after a variable time in a case where the operating signal is received. The difference between the first and second modulation voltages is smaller than the difference between the first and second gamma voltages, and the difference between the third and fourth modulation voltages is smaller than the difference between the third and fourth gamma voltages.

  • Patent number: 9939996
Abstract: An ebook is represented as ebook pages associated with locations. An interface for navigating the ebook pages includes a smart scrubber. Positions on the smart scrubber correspond to locations of ebook pages. The smart scrubber includes contextual icons that represent contextual information associated with a location in the ebook. To generate the scrubber, contextual information is obtained and selected for display based on selection criteria. Contextual icons representing the selected contextual information are placed on the smart scrubber in positions corresponding to their associated locations. A navigation command directed at a position on the smart scrubber (or a contextual icon at that position) results in display of the ebook page at the location corresponding to that position. One example contextual icon is a page restore thumbnail representing the last page read, which is selected for display when the smart scrubber is used to navigate away from the last page read.

Abstract: System and method of dynamically adjusting a frame buffer resolution. An average frame rate is dynamically computed based on the frame rates with respect to rendering a sequence of previous frames to a frame buffer. The frame rates may vary with the processing load of an associated graphics processor. A target scaling factor for frame buffer resolution is computed based upon the dynamic average frame rate and a desired frame rate. The current scaling factor of frame buffer resolution for rendering a respective frame data of a sequence of frame data to the frame buffer is adjusted incrementally to reach the target scaling factor. Accordingly, frame resolutions for rendering the sequence of frame data to the frame buffer are incrementally adjusted based on corresponding current scaling factors.

  • Patent number: 9679355
Abstract: Provided is an image processing device capable of reproducing an original thin linear image region from a linear image region, which has become thick due to upscaling processing for a low-resolution image. In an image processing device (100), an amplitude estimation unit (1) calculates a magnification a in a local region so that an input image signal becomes similar to a low-resolution pattern PtnL. A similarity calculation unit (2) outputs a similarity s, which has a great value, at a pixel position which is similar to the low-resolution pattern PtnL. An FIR filter unit (4) sets an FIR filter coefficient by a difference pattern PtnDiff, receives a product of the magnification a and the similarity s, and performs FIR filter processing, and thereby acquires a high frequency component ?D. Then, when the high frequency component ?D is added to an input image Din by an adder (5), an output image Dout having excellent definition is acquired.

Abstract: A method for video teleconferencing comprises receiving a starting image with a number of rows and a number of columns. The starting image is downscaled with a dual-axis warping function to create a scaled image with a number of rows fewer than the number of rows of the starting image and a number of columns fewer than the number of columns in the starting image. Then, a transmission image is created from the scaled image.

Abstract: A display method and an electronic apparatus include a display unit with various kinds of different display modes, so that when the current display mode of the display unit is the first display mode, the first application in the electronic apparatus is initiated, and then the electronic apparatus detects the first parameter information of the first application, and then determines the correspondence relationship between the first parameter information and the display modes, determines the second display mode corresponding to the first parameter information, and adjusts the display unit from the first display mode displayed currently to the second display mode at last. Determining the display modes according to different applications running in the electronic apparatus increases the display effect of the electronic apparatus and reduces the power consumption of the display of the electronic apparatus.

Abstract: Disclosed is a content encoding pre-synchronization method, comprising: a network device selecting a popular index with a high frequency of appearance from all indexes stored by the network device; determining, among base stations under management, another base station that is of the same type as a base station receiving the popular index, and when the link is idle, sending the popular index and data corresponding to the popular index to the base station. In the content encoding pre-synchronization method provided by an embodiment of the present invention, a popular index and a base station to which the index may be sent can be predetermined, and when the link is idle, the popular index is sent to the corresponding base station in advance, thereby reducing the sending delay in busy time, improving the compression ratio in busy time, and avoiding a loss of synchronization data caused by a busy link.

Abstract: An auto-focus compensation method, adapted to an image capturing device having a touch screen, includes the following steps. First, a first touch operation performed on a first object displayed on the touch screen is detected. Next, an auto-focusing procedure is performed so as to obtain a focused image. A staying time of the first touch operation on the first object is accumulated and determined whether it exceeds a time threshold. When the staying time exceeds the time threshold, an adjustment interface is displayed on the touch screen, and a second touch operation performed on the adjustment interface is detected. The focused image is adjusted according to the second touch operation, and a new focused image is thus obtained and captured. An image capturing device is also provided in the invention to implement the aforementioned auto-focus compensation method.
