Abstract: Real-time latency of audio/video streams is identified. Signatures of a reference audio/video stream and signatures of a test audio/video stream are buffered. A needle is constructed as a vector including a set of signatures of the reference audio/video stream. Correlations of the needle to successive vectors of sets of signatures of the test audio/video stream are computed using a correlation function that calculates relatedness of the needle vector to each of the successive vectors of the test audio/video stream. A synchronization offset is identified between the test stream and the reference stream according to a maximum correlation point of the correlations of the needle to the successive sets of signatures of the test audio/video stream. • Patent number: 11592828
Abstract: In various examples, motifs, watermarks, and/or signature inputs are applied to a deep neural network (DNN) to detect faults in underlying hardware and/or software executing the DNN. Information corresponding to the motifs, watermarks, and/or signatures may be compared to the outputs of the DNN generated using the motifs, watermarks and/or signatures. When a the accuracy of the predictions are below a threshold, or do not correspond to the expected predictions of the DNN, the hardware and/or software may be determined to have a fault—such as a transient, an intermittent, or a permanent fault. Where a fault is determined, portions of the system that rely on the computations of the DNN may be shut down, or redundant systems may be used in place of the primary system. Where no fault is determined, the computations of the DNN may be relied upon by the system.

  • Patent number: 11099003
Abstract: Examples of a light field metrology system for use with a display are disclosed. The light field metrology may capture images of a projected light field, and determine focus depths (or lateral focus positions) for various regions of the light field using the captured images. The determined focus depths (or lateral positions) may then be compared with intended focus depths (or lateral positions), to quantify the imperfections of the display. Based on the measured imperfections, an appropriate error correction may be performed on the light field to correct for the measured imperfections. The display can be an optical display element in a head mounted display, for example, an optical display element capable of generating multiple depth planes or a light field display.

Abstract: A method for checking a validity of image data, in which the image data is assigned to a display device. The image data are classified into at least two groups as a function of a color value of the image data and/or of a brightness value of the image data, a test value being ascertained from the image data of the at least one group for the respective group. The ascertained test value of a group is compared with a predefined test value of the respective group. A validity of the image data is established when the ascertained test value of the respective group and the predefined test value of the respective group coincide. An invalidity of the image data is established when the ascertained test value of the respective group and the predefined test value of the respective group do not coincide.

Abstract: This disclosure pertains to systems, methods, and computer readable medium for mapping particular user interactions, e.g., gestures, to the input parameters of various image processing routines, e.g., image filters, in a way that provides a seamless, dynamic, and intuitive experience for both the user and the software developer. Such techniques may handle the processing of both “relative” gestures, i.e., those gestures having values dependent on how much an input to the device has changed relative to a previous value of the input, and “absolute” gestures, i.e., those gestures having values dependent only on the instant value of the input to the device. Additionally, inputs to the device beyond user-input gestures may be utilized as input parameters to one or more image processing routines. For example, the device's orientation, acceleration, and/or position in three-dimensional space may be used as inputs to particular image processing routines.
