Abstract: A loupe and lighting assembly for enhancing detection of dust particles on the optical sensor of a digital camera. The assembly is made of a cylindroid hollow-centered main frame body, into which is fixed a loupe lens. A battery housing is joined to the body in order to supply electrical power to a LED array. The LED array is made from a plurality of LED diodes mounted peripherally and around the inside of the cylindroid body, being tilted at an acute angle from the axis orthogonal to the plane of the cylindroid body so that all diodes axially converge toward a single focal point, at a certain distance from the main frame body. The dust particles scattered upon the sensor become clearly visible to an observer looking through the assembly when the dust particles location coincide with the LED common focal point.

Abstract: An apparatus, system and method of providing auto-dimming and state transition signal functionality to a telephone system are provided. Generally, when the telephone system is in use, it will have an illuminated screen that may distract others. Because of this, when the telephone system is entering a state that does not require monitoring by the user, the illuminated screen may dim down to decrease the likelihood of distraction by others. However, since the user may want to know when the telephone system is no longer in that state, the telephone system may alert the user when it has transitioned out of that state.

Abstract: LED lamp has LEDs aimed rearwards with either a concave mirror to the rear of each LED, or one concave mirror to the rear of two or more LEDs, collecting the light from the LEDs to form a forward projecting beam. LEDs may be high power types that require heatsinking. LED lamp may have a lens forward of each LED to collimate the radiation produced by the LEDs into a beam, where at least one lens has at least one aspheric curved surface. LED lamp may have a transparent reflective optic to collimate the radiation produced by each LED into a beam. LEDs mounted to heatsink mount with spokes and ring to support LEDs in place above mirror and conduct away heat.

Abstract: An optoelectronic handhold includes a light-transmitting light emission portion and also has a touch control module, which includes a micro-switch for activating a power source to drive operation of an illuminator. A connection base includes a hollow structure having an end receiving therein the touch control module and coupled to the light-transmitting light emission portion and an opposite end forming a mounting portion for coupling with other structures for firm positioning. When a pull is applied to the handhold, the micro-switch is actuated to have the touch control module activating the illuminator to give off light traveling to and through the light-transmitting light emission portion for providing decoration.

  • Patent number: 7794102
Abstract: An apparatus produces a “dazzling” effect: disorientation and temporary and fully reversible blindness in subjects for the purpose of threat deterrence in both civilian law enforcement and military engagements without the use of lasers. A plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) capable of intense illumination is provided. Light emitted by each LED is pulsed and focused by reflective optics to produce a pulsed beam of sufficient intensity that the combined effect of the beams from the LEDs induces dazzling in subject viewers in the target range. Further included in or ancillary to the invention are a power source for powering the LEDs a signal source and controller for controlling their illumination and pulsing, and a shield suitable for protecting a user against projectiles.

  • Publication number: 20100188841
