  • Patent number: 6860193
Abstract: Reinforcing device for household bean milk and bean curd makers reinforces a structure for fastening a drive motor to a main body using a bracket, thus reducing vibration and noise. The reinforcing device is constructed such that a body cap extends to a predetermined length, thus preventing a lower portion of the main body from being thermally deformed, and for reducing vibration and noise. The reinforcing device may include a first bracket provided at a predetermined position between the body cap and the main body to increase a force to fasten the drive motor to the main body, and the reinforcing device may include a locking element for assembling the body cap, the first bracket, and the drive motor with the main body into a single or unitary body.

Abstract: A blender base that may be used with a food processor container, a blender container, and a single use beverage container. The blender container includes a novel blade unit having a food processor-style blade and blender type blades. Programs with preprogrammed motor commands for desired operations are stored in memory and may be selected by a user on a user interface. The user interface may include a liquid crystal display, or function switches and light emitting diodes. Upon selection of a particular pre-defined function, the microcontroller retrieves the appropriate program from the read only memory and specifies the preprogrammed motor commands to accomplish the selected function.

Abstract: Disclosed is an agitator assembly which comprises an agitator and means for mounting the agitator assembly on top of a tank. The agitator comprises a shaft, a propeller fixed to one end of the shaft, and means for rotating the shaft to provide an axial discharge from the propeller of at least 4.0 m/sec with a flow equivalent of at least 0.2 tank volumes/minute. The agitator is mounted on top of the tank so that the shaft enters the tank at an angle a to the longitudinal axis of the tank of between about 30 and about 60 degrees and at an angle &bgr; to the transverse vertical axis of the tank of less than about 50 degrees. Also disclosed is a method of shipping solids that are soluble in a solvent. The solids are placed in a tank on which the agitator assembly has been mounted. The quantity of solids placed in the tank exceeds the amount that will dissolve when the tank is filled with the solvent. The tank is transported to the location where the solids are to be removed from the tank.
