The radio communication node acquires the PDCP PDU, which is used as a Radio Link Control service data unit (RLC SDU), in the data packet. The radio communication node sends data generated by using the RLC SDU to a user equipment, where a user plane connection is established between the radio communication node and the user equipment, and a control plane connection is established between the base station and the user equipment.

Abstract: The disclosure presents a method embodiment, performed in a network node, of coordinating transmission on a backhaul link with transmission on an end-user access link in a wireless network. Transmission is performed in time division duplex, TDD, radio frames transmitted on respective frequency bands on the backhaul link and the end-user access link. The method comprises determining a backhaul TDD configuration of the backhaul link and an end-user access TDD configuration of the end-user access link. A backhaul sub-frame and an end-user access sub-frame are selected. An offset is determined between the backhaul sub-frame and the end-user access sub-frame. Transmission on the backhaul link or on the end-user access link is adjusted with a time-shift relative to transmission on the backhaul link, wherein the time-shift is based on the determined offset.

Abstract: A base station receives signals transmitted from one terminal in cooperation with another base station and performs synthesis processing of the received signals of the other base station and the received signals of the local base station. In the base station, a determination circuit determines necessity of synthesis processing using the received signals of the local base station at the time of the first transmission of the terminal. A base station-to-base station communication circuit transmits a message requesting forwarding of the received signals to the other base station in a case where the synthesis processing is determined to be necessary and receives the forwarded signals that are forwarded from the other base station at the time of retransmission of the terminal. A synthesis circuit synthesizes the forwarded signals from the other base station and the received signals of the local base station in a case where the synthesis processing is determined to be necessary.

Abstract: Various embodiments are described that relate to directing of a signal. An incoming signal can be compared to a threshold voltage. If the signal does not meet the threshold voltage, then the signal can be used for normal usage, such as communication with a software-defined radio. However, if the signal does meet the threshold, then the signal can be directed away from normal usage. In one example, the signal can be directed away from a communication component and directed to an energy harvesting component that charges a battery of the software-defined radio.

An uplink signal may be received at an access node from a wireless device in communication with the access node. It may be detected that the wireless device is proximate to an antenna system, wherein the antenna system does not comprise the access node. It may be then determined that carrier aggregation should be triggered for the wireless device based on the detecting. And carrier aggregation may be performed for the wireless device by transmitting data from the access node to the wireless device over a primary carrier and a secondary carrier.

  • Patent number: 9882603
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for active cancellation of transmitter leakage in a radio receiver that reduce power consumption and/or reduce noise in a desired receive frequency band. In some embodiments, in order to cancel transmitter leakage in a receive path, a cancellation signal is injected into the receive path in an upstream direction. By injecting the cancellation signal in the upstream direction, a noise component of the cancellation signal propagates through the receive path in the upstream direction and is either passed through a receive antenna or attenuated by an upstream component. Conversely, a desired component of the cancellation signal is reflected by an upstream filter and, thereafter, propagates through the receive path in the downstream direction to thereby cancel the transmitter leakage in the receive path. In this manner, active transmitter leakage cancellation can be performed while minimizing degradation of receiver sensitivity.
